This year's featured rescue Huskies who could all use a little "Elf" magic this howliday season. See all five Husky Rescues in this post and maybe you can play Elf!
‘Tis
the season to help homeless Siberian Huskies in need! As we've all
seen, there is a serious problem of Huskies and northern breed dogs
being "surrendered," or worse, abandoned, some ill and injured, and
their only hope is that rescue folks will be able to save them. Due to
the tremendous number of them being abandoned by what they thought were
their forever families, rescues are filled beyond capacity, some have
closed intakes, while others are hoping more fosters step forward to
help give them temporary homes until a forever one can be found. Without
them, these beautiful dogs have zero chance. They are a magnanimous
breed that need exercise, socialization, interaction, and love. A
shelter is no place for any dog, especially this breed. And there are
just too many now who are waiting for their forever homes, whether it is
in the care of a
loving foster family or waiting at a brick-and-mortar rescue for someone
to
come and welcome them into their family. These dogs depend on rescues,
and we depend on rescues to help them--but the rescues need help, or
else they can't continue to save the Huskies.
Rescues, volunteers, and fosters do incredible, sometimes impossible, work. From saving
Huskies who have been abandoned, injured, sick, and even owner-surrendered…these
caring folks go above and beyond to help Huskies in need…from getting them
medical care, finding them a caring foster home, offering transportation, working
with them to readjust to love and a home life, training, and
helping rehabilitate them and acclimate them to a loving home life.
Why do I do this each year? For me, sharing my life with my FiveSibes—Harley, Gibson, Wolfgang,
Chloe, and Bandit—I learned so much and received so much love back from them.
They will always be in my heart. And in their names, I’d like to once again help other
Siberian Huskies in need get a little taste of what a wonderful Christmas
filled with love from a forever family can be like. Past years we had some wonderful secret "elves" who delivered some wonderful
gifts to some of the rescue Huskies shared. Let's do it again this year! There
are 5 rescues again this year who answered our call-out...select one, or all, and bring some holiday joy
to some homeless and sanctuary Huskies this Christmas...or, better yet, GIVE the adoptables a
forever home this howliday season!

There was such a great response (signaling the serious need to help these pups) again this
year, that I've set this up a the same as last year so that each Rescue gets
a "page" so these beauties don't get lost in the all the information.
They are too important to skip! So, this is the "Main Page" where in
this post will see the link to each Rescue highlighted for their dog(s)'
requested Wish List! Think of this as a Gift Guide, and take the time
to share and click on the different rescues to help beautiful Huskies in
need!
Scroll down to find the rescue you'd like to help listed above (they are highlighted because they are the ones who answered my call-out to Rescues) or maybe one item for a dog at each Rescue!
If
you do become an "elf," I'd love to know who you sent a care package
to! And Rescues...let me know if your Husky received a treat from one of
our "elves!"
