Thoughts of Sweet Chloe on Her Rainbow Bridge Anniversary

Image
Flashback ~ Sweet Pupster "Chloe" ~ 2018 It's so hard to believe that our pupster, Chloe, our sweet, always happy, chatterbox of a Husky, has been gone for two years this week. So much here has changed since then, including the loss of Harley and Chloe's sis, Bandit, a move, and a new little human. Chloe was the sweetest. She would not even harm a fly. Seriously. She was also my resident model pup as she was always up for a photoshoot! Like this pic, a good friend, "Auntie Holly" sent this awesome custom FiveSibes snowflake to us one Christmas and I wanted to take a photo. Who was up to pose? Our sweetie was!    She loved my grandson, who just a baby, and food. Oh, Coco Puff and her food! Her internal clock knew exactly when it was breakfast and dinner time, and if she even sniffed a treat, she would woo, and talk, and bark (and yes, some Huskies can bark!) Chloe was actually my daughter's Husky, and helped each other through some difficult times. Sw

Spa Day for Wolfie

Image
Wolfie looking beautiful as he stepped out of the mobile groomer's van! We love our groomer. She is so wonderful with Wolf. He is very vocal when getting bathed (as many Sibes are), and he does have some anxiety issues, so having him groomed by a caring groomer right at our home is great! Less stress for my boy and his hu-momma!   Check out those spiffy paws! He needed a good pawdicure and trimming of furry pads!   Look at that Sibe smile! He knows he lookin' good! What you don't see are our neighbors next to him who just finished petting him, and the neighbor with his cute little dog who I think my boy was flirting with! 13.5 going on 3!    Does your dog enjoy getting groomed? Hello, Summer! Happy Father's Day!

Image
Woo! Welcome Summer! Here at FiveSibes, that means pool time when not in the a/c! How do your dogs enjoy summer?     "Well, we'll go swimmin' every day No time to work just time to play If your folks complain just say, 'It's summertime, summertime,  sum, sum, summertime!'" ~Thomas Jameson      And on this first day of Summer, we also send out Happy Father's Day wishes to all the dads!    Sunday Memory: Gibson & FiveSibesDad   Back to FiveSibes Blog Home Pag e to Read Other Posts Visit our FiveSibes Website!       #ForeverFiveSibes

Sibe Shenanigans on a #FlashbackFriday!

Image
Flashback Photo ~ June 2015 ~ Wolfie Oh, silly Sibes! Dogs can sure be such characters, can't they? And Huskies for sure! On this day, I was looking all around my room for the air conditioner remote, when lo-and-behold, my boy Wolf had it under his paws up on my bed! Guess my snowdog wanted it colder, too! BOL!  Now, all funniness aside, they are pretty smart...do you think Wolf knew what he was doing?   "Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen." ~Orhan Pamuk   (You'll have to screenshot it!) The Linky tool will open all week for you to join us in the Blog Hop and share pics from yesteryear or yesterday, include our badge and *link back to us*, and  be sure to hop along and visit the other blogs and leave a nice comment! Happy Friday!     Back to FiveSibes Blog Home Pag e to Read Other Posts Visit our FiveSibes Website!       #ForeverFiveSibes

Happiness is Sharing an Ice Cream on #FlashbackFriday!

Image
Flashback Photo: Summer 2020 ~ Siblings Bandit & Wolf Nothing sings out Summertime more than that familiar jingle of the ice cream truck wringing out through the neighborhood! Even as one hears the song in the distance, it sends kids running to get a few dollars from parents as they race to wait for the ice cream truck to park in front of their house so they can get some yummy cold treat. Our #FiveSibes Bandit and Wolf also enjoyed it! And the driver had a special selection just for dogs - vanilla soft serve served with a dog biscuit (in our case, two!) on top! I've said it before and I'll say it again, I always loved how my #FiveSibes shared, and here in this little video you can see how they patiently waited for their turn at the ice cream truck and how much they enjoyed eating their summertime treat! Little did I know at the time, it would be Bandit's last summer, but oh, she had a great one!     "You can't buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream and that

Gratitude & Joy on a #Flashback Friday

Image
Flashback Photo ~ March 2016 ~ Bandit, Harley, Chloe & Wolf "It is not joy that makes us grateful. It is gratitude that makes us joyful."   ~David Steindl-Rast   I recall exactly when this photo was taken...I do for all of them, actually. That is why I love our #FiveSibes #FlashbackFriday Blog Hop - it allows me to revisit some amazing times spent with my five, then four Sibes. It's like getting another chance to enjoy the moments of a particular day. I always loved how at the end of a day, I'd sit in my recliner ready to watch a little TV, and my FiveSibes would always come running into the living room and first play and zoomie around with each other, then they would settle down and all eyes on me (they knew I had snacks!), before laying down on their beds. That feeling of seeing them all happy and safe lying all around me, is one I will keep forever in my heart. The quote fits the memory perfectly as I recall clearly feeling so joyful to be able to share my life

Pool Time! Stay Cool Time!

Image
Fill this thing up, Hu-Mom! But not too full! Woo! After days of rain it came out a warm one today! Time to fill the pool to keep cool! While some of my other FiveSibes loved the pool - like Harley (could not keep that girl out! And she loved to play with the hose water!), Bandit, and Gibson, too, loved the pool and hose. Wolfie on the other hand is a bit stand-offish like his sis Chloe was. He likes to dip his paws in and drink some of the cold water, but splashing and playing is just not his thing! Another way I like to help Wolfie stay cool is with a dog cooling collar (I use Kool Collar and you slip pre-made ice packs inside)! I have used these for years for my Huskies, beginning with my Epi-dog, Gibson (heat can be a trigger for seizur
