Dog Art: Painting With Mishka, the Siberian Husky Therapy Dog!

W oo! It's summertime! And for many families with kids, it means days filled with swimming in the pool or favorite swimming spot, playing with friends, going to camp, going on vacation with family, and long days filled with play and romping with the family dog! But, some days you may hear the "B" word (bored), so what is a fun project to do with them to keep them occupied and have fun? It's not just for kids - it's a fun project you can do with your dog, too! So, what is it?  Painting with your dog!  Okay, you may be saying, "Excuse me? Dogs can't paint." But I'm here to say, "Yes, they can!" You and/or your kids can have fun painting with. your dog, and also have fun watching your dog paint! Happy Fourth With Our Huskies & Their Gift of Love & Dog-Safe Fireworks

   #Flashback ~ July 2019 ~ (above) pupster Bandit & her "firework"  and (below) Harley, Wolfie & Bandit with their "fireworks!"  And L'il Firecracker sure fit them well (especially Harley & Bee!)   T he story behind these photos, which took place in July of 2019, just five weeks after Chloe had earned her wings, is a touching one, and shows the true love between a boy and his dogs. My grandson (who also recently co-wrote my new book, Wolfie, What is the Rainbow Bridge? ) felt the remaining three Huskies—Wolfie, Bandit, and Harley—were very sad and missing Chloe. So, he went to the store with his mother/my daughter, and picked out "firecracker" squeaky toys for them as cheer-up toys! Yup, I cried. For so young, his love and compassion for the dogs shined through...and did right up until Wolfie (who became his best buddy) earned his wings.
