  Today is a bittersweet post as it would have been our beautiful alpha queen Harley's Sweet 16 Birthday. Harley was our first Siberian Husky, and the OG of the FiveSibes pack family! She was the inspiration behind my love of the breed, and the reason I fell under the Husky Potato Chip syndrome! (I could not just have one Husky)! Birthdays were also so much fun with my FiveSibes. It's as if they understood that cake and toys were coming! And Harley naturally embraced her princess role! She loved crowns! That's our alpha queen! Our queen wore her crown proudly! Cake time was always a blast! She was the "momma" dog...taking in the three Pupsters as if they were her own. She was the true love of Gibson, smitten since the moment he met her and she rammed him head over fluffy butt into the pool! I always loved how she would keep the Pupsters in line, teach them the ways of a Siberian Husky, and snuggle up with all of them. She was spunky and sassy, and could even be ...

Wow! And in the language of Siberian Huskies, "Wooooo!" Today, we mark 11 years of blogging here at FiveSibes! It all began with my beautiful pack of five Siberian Huskies, hence the name FiveSibes - our first and the alpha queen herself, Harley; my sweet wooly Epi-boy Gibson, and our five littermates, the "Pupsters Wolfgang, Chloe, and Bandit! As a career writer, I took the plunge in February of 2010 and posted my very first blog article on Pet Dental Health Month featuring our alph queen, Harley, and her pearly whites! Very First FiveSibes Blog Post!   When I first embarked upon writing this blog and writing about daily life shared with my beloved FiveSibes, as well as all things canine, never did I imagine I would be doing for more than a decade! I also never thought I'd be writing this - our 11th Blogiversary - with only one of my original (OG) pack remaining, my boy Wolfie. While this has been an amazing journey, it is hard to believe that the heydays of FiveSib...

Can you believe it is almost Halloween? 2020 sure has served up different times for us, but one thing is for sure, our memories will never change.  Time flies, as if on a witch's broom...looking back on our Flashback Fridays, I'm always amazed at the years that have gone by...yet the memories are so clear, as if they were just a few years ago. This photo was taken eight years ago! No trick! Pupster Wolfie was just four here, as were his sisters Bandit, and furangel Chloe. I laid the black cat toy down on his bed, and this was his natural reaction, along with his Wolfie whine! Enjoy those moments.  Take a lot of photos and videos.  One day, those photos and videos will be precious memories you can take out and relive all over again, keeping your dog...

          Flashback: Summer 2015 Wolf & Bandit in Their Pool!   Oh, where, oh, where did summer 2020 go? With all the Covid-19 regs, it hardly felt like summer at all with all our favorite places to go either closed or too crowded to even attempt. Summer 2020 sure has been a strange one, and even faster than usual. It was a big summer for us with relocating, helping Wolfie and Bandit adjust to a new place, the coronavirus...so lots of adjustments. All in all, we are all looking forward to Fall! Bring on the crisp, cooler temps, the gorgeous changing colors of the leaves, sweaters and sweatshirts, boots, and everything pumpkin! My two FiveSibes and I are ready!
