#FiveSibes #WaitingWednesday: Spotlight on Husky Haven of Florida & Mask Fundraiser!
Woo! Welcome back to our #WaitingWednesday Blog Hop, where we highlight rescues and feature some of their adoptable dogs and dogs waiting for a foster home! We've been on a blogging hiatus for the better part of six months, so we are happy to be back today with #WaitingWednesday Blog Hop! Before we turn the spotlight on HUSKY HAVEN OF FLORIDA, let's first take a look at their current fundraiser--adorable handmade Husky dog face masks! Okay, so our Huskies won't be wearing them like our FiveSibes Wolf here, but they are so cute, I couldn't wait to buy mine! But do hurry, styles are running out of stock! See further below in this post for how you can buy one or a few of these masks that will help Huskies in need, and help you keep yourself and loved ones to #StaySafe during this Covid-19 pandemic.
While we here at FiveSibes, focus on Siberian Huskies and northern breeds, the Blog Hop is open to ALL breeds and species, so I hope you will join in and highlight some rescues near and dear to your heart, or even your own positive rescue story, and hop along with us! This week, our featured rescue is HUSKY HAVEN OF FLORIDA! Please be sure to scroll down to see some of their beautiful adoptable Huskies!

Husky Haven of Florida
“We, at the Husky Haven of Florida, strive to rescue homeless Siberian Huskies. We provide support, education and assistance if possible to all owners of Siberian Huskies.
We will thoroughly screen each applicant before placing a Siberian Husky. We hope to educate the public through events and public forums about Huskies and the need for Rescues, and work with other Rescues in helping all animals and their humans enjoy a healthy beneficial relationship.”

What's
This #WaitingWednesday
Blog
Hop All About?
It's about becoming a "village" to help rescues, homeless Huskies, and all abandoned pets of any species in need. It's also to share breed information to help educate folks so they understand the traits, habits, and needs of specific breeds, such as the Siberian Husky, BEFORE they welcome one into their home to ensure the home will be a forever one. Please check out our recent post HERE where I talk all about this new important Blog Hop!
How You Can Join in Our Weekly "Village" to Help Homeless Pets...
#WaitingWednesday Badge |
Write a blog post (or Facebook or Instagram post) highlighting a rescue (you can do a different one each week!) along with some photos of the rescue's adoptable animals (dogs, cats, horses, bunnies--any species) along with a little info on the pet and the rescue's contact information.
***Then grab our badge here and link to our blog, add your post's link to the Linky list, and join in
the hop to help homeless animals! Link List is open all week for your
convenience!***
While we here at FiveSibes randomly select
rescues to highlight, if you are with a non-profit rescue of northern breed
dogs (and mixes of both), and want to be sure I feature your rescue, please
send me your info and some of your adoptables to highlight in an upcoming
“Waiting Wednesday” post! Feel free to Email info and photos to FiveSibes(at)gmail(dot)com and put "Waiting Wednesday Adoptable" in subject line!

oooh simbad looks like our angel bro frosty.... we hope there is a home for all this wonderful pups...
ReplyDeleteI hope those sweeties all get to go home soon. Love those masks!
ReplyDeleteThose are really pawsome masks! Well done on them as well as the promotion of rescuing pups. 😷
ReplyDeleteLovely face masks! Added your links now! Have a fab weekend! XOX
ReplyDeleteAw Aaron especially pulls at my heart strings. I'd love to adopt a special needs dog someday. He looks like a lot of fun! I'll check out the masks, maybe they'll have a design that looks like my Fenrir. It's good to see you back! I hope your move went well and that you're all setting in to the new place nicely.
ReplyDeleteI am sat here smiling at the husky mask. What a relevant and important fundraiser and they look super cute (thank you Wolf for being such a gracious model!)
ReplyDeleteI can't begin to imagine adopting a dog without checking out if I could handle it first. I would never buy a Doberman for this reason, they need experienced handlers, and so do Huskies.
Dogs need homes that can manage them, cats too. I could not own a Persian because I would forget to brush it!!!
Those masks are so cute! Whoever thought this would be a fundraiser but it's perfect for this time.
ReplyDeleteFostering is our plan. Right now we are not set up to be able to have two dogs but whenever and whatever the next dog is going to be, it's going to be a foster.
ReplyDeleteThese masks are absolutely adorable! Give me allll of the face masks with dogs on them. I loved meeting all the Huskies that are available from Husky Haven. I also really love that you spread awareness about families understanding breed traits and characteristics. It’s so easy to look at a beautiful Husky and want them in your home, but it’s so important to know that their personalities will blend well with the family. Awesome article!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to make money for an organization in need at this time. So many areas right now are requiring masks - Why not purchase one that is going to help make a difference at the same time? Thank you for sharing and highlighting such an important cause! We've always been active in rescue and I wouldn't have it any other way.
ReplyDeleteThose masks are cute. I think masks are going to be a new accessory for awhile, might as well use them as another way to express ourselves and help out a good cause (I got some cat themed ones as soon as they were mandated here.) it’s good to see you back and posting.
ReplyDeleteI hope all the furry friends you featured get adopted very soon. Thanks for offering
Welcome back! It's so nice to see you again. I always enjoy your photos of the beautiful Siberian dogs.
