Acupressure and Ice to Relieve Seizures and #LiveGibStrong 5th Epi-Tip of the Month

Here's a great tip, diagram and explanation from Tallgrass Acupuncture Institute as to why ice on certain acupressure points can be a relief for a dog with seizures and help remove heat.

To view full size, visit their website HERE.

This makes great sense to me as I use a Kooler Collar on Gibson to help him when he seems to be going in to an overheated state, or during the summer months when I need to keep him cooler as a preventative. Be sure to check out our current (until November 15, 2015 at 8 PM EST) online #LiveGibStrong K-9 Epilepsy Awareness online benefit auction as the Kooler Collar Gibson uses is one of the items you can bid on while helping to raise funds for two fantastic Canine Epilepsy non-profit organizations - Canine Epilepsy Resources Epil-K9 Foundation "Emma's Seizure Fund" through the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine ~AND~ The Wally Foundation~Canine Epilepsy that offers financial assistance for medications to rescues/fosters/families of dogs diagnosed with idiopathic Canine Epilepsy.

Come on over and view our auction album on our host's AFA - Auctions For Animals community Facebook page HERE. Over 150 items so you can do some holiday shopping while raising awareness and helping out phenomenal organizations!

I'd like to thank All Paws Massage for sharing the above great acupressure & ice information with us!
