FiveSibes Flashback ~ Gibson ~ 2015 Pictured here is my beloved Gibson and I celebrating my birthday in 2015. My cake was a wonderful surprise from my family that had Gibson's gorgeous face on it! It was so lovely that I didn't want to cut it! (But we did. My family couldn't wait to dig into the cake. Me, I was trying to figure out how to save the top. BOL! Now, if you recall, I'm also the one who shellacked the five fondant Huskies on a previous cake! And yup, I sure do still have them! But, I'll share that photo another time. Here, my Gibbie was giving the cake a little taste test, before all FiveSibes had a bit of that whipped cream! This was to become one of those uber special moments I was so happy to have had my family capture on film. And, unbeknownst to me at the time, this would be the last birthday of mine that Gibson was here to celebrate for he passed just a few months later. 'Tis me dressed 'ere in me pirate's hat from a past Howloween! Shiver me wooly fur, this pirate stuff be fun!" Oh, how I miss my boy's beautiful handsome face! Gibson was always up for some fun!     Today is a special date—my furangel Gibson’s birthday. I’ve been thinking a lot about of my very special boy, Gibson—my heart dog—on what would be his 15 th Birthday (unbelievably his sixth birthday north of the Rainbow Bridge). This amazing dog inspired me, and so many others, with his zest for life, and his determination and grit to overcome so many health obstacles along his journey with Canine Epilepsy. Diagnosed shortly after his third birthday, Gibson never let having #epilepsy keep him down! He enjoyed so many things—he just loved life! He loved spending his days with the rest of our #FiveSibes pack: his true love Harley (who he was smitten with from the moment he came home and met her!), and younger siblings Wolfie, Chloe, and Bandit. He was their big fluffy pillow they loved to all spoon around! Gib also had a great sense of humor! He was truly a beautiful “old soul” and if you’ve followed my blog, my spirit animal for sure.   Gibson’...

A Birthday Message for My Beloved Furgangel Gibson: Happy Heavenly Birthday to you my sweet, big, fluffy boy, Gibson. My heart dog, my inspiration. Today would have been your 14th Birthday, and we'd be celebrating with our pack family and my special ice cream bone-shaped cake you all loved. It is so hard to believe it has been four years since I last held your big polar bear paw in mine, or that you plied me with your famous Gibbie kisses, or wooed "Love you" to me. You were a true epilepsy warrior and an amazing ambassadog who helped so many others on their journey with epilepsy. I sure do miss you today as much as always. Have a great birthday, my Gibbie boy, and romp and play in the snow with your true love Harley who has now joined you and little sis, Chloe this past summer, leaving this broken heart even a little more broken, but knowing you all are all together helps.
