How I so enjoyed our conversations.  Boy, I sure do miss the days of enjoying a nice cuppa and having a good ol' kaffeeklatsch with my boy Wolfie by my side. My now-angel German mother, who frequently used the term, and so loved our coffee dates as much as I did, would certainly approve.   # Flashback ~ Gibson & My Epi-Dog Article in Ruff Drafts ~ 2013 The year was 2013...four years after my beloved heart dog, Gibson, was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy and came to be known as an "Epi-dog" - a dog with epilepsy. We were in the midst of becoming ambassadors for Epi-dogs, sharing Gibson's journey and treatments and his absolute zest for live and love of his pack family (and Harley!) when my article "Epi-Dogs: Dogs Living Full Lives With Canine Epilepsy" was published in Ruff Drafts magazine. Any given day you'd find one or all of them stretched out under the bench seats, paws askew, and just relaxing and snoozing. When they first come in, they each had their favorite spots and would race to it before one of the others could take it. Eventually, they all knew each other's favorite spot. They loved this space so much, I bought big pillow-style dog beds for them and slid it under the benches!  On this particular day, Bandit was happy just soaking up some sun rays shining in through the nook window. It's official! The kiddos are all settled back in school for another year. It's class time not only for the hu-kids, but for the pups as well! Today we are flashing back to 2014 when our Pupster girl, Bandit, all decked out in her new backpack and bandana, was all ready for school! I had enrolled her in some one-on-one classes for what I originally thought was a hearing problem, but am pretty convinced now it was more of an attention issue. After getting a few tips, with a little extra TLC and treats, she has been back on track ever since! (Unless, of course, a squirrel, opossum, woodchuck, or bird visits our yard)! But I think our Bee gets an "A" for her spiffy Back-to-K9-School outfit! And what did Bee learn in class? That...   S - Siberian Huskies C - Can H - Have O - Oodles O – Of L – Learning fun!
