A Health Scare For Bandit

Image
Hello dear Blogville friends! As you know, it's been awhile since we have been blogging. If you follow us on our FiveSibes: Siberian Husky K9 News & Reviews Facebook page,   we do continue our updates, but my muse apparently hit the road! After losing our beloved Harley just three months after losing our sweet Chloe, I needed to take a step back and my creativity went on hold. We also had some big life changes to adjust to and help our Wolfie and Bandit adjust as well, especially to the loss of their beloved sibling and "momma." And...since we last "spoke," the world has certainly changed. So much illness, chaos, unrest, and unhappiness...we sure do hope this post finds you all safe and well.  Many things have happened during our blogging and The Sibe Vibe Dog Works Radio show hiatus, including adjusting to the loss of Chloe and Harley, and a big move! We also recently had a health scare with our girl Bandit. I hope to soon be back blogging more regularl...

"The Sibe Vibe" - Talking Canine Epilepsy With Gibson's Lead Vet, Dr. Arnold Rugg

Image
With November being National Epilepsy Awareness Month (#NEAM) , on this month's episode of my show "The Sibe Vibe" on Dog Works Radio, I am very excited to be chatting with Dr. Arnold Rugg, Medical Director and Owner of the Kingston Animal Hospital in Kingston, New York.  Gibson receiving laser therapy from Dr. Rugg Dr. Rugg is our lead vet who has cared for my family's pets for over three decades. He also headed the team who diagnosed and cared for my Gibson throughout his journey with Canine Epilepsy.  Gibson with Dr. Rugg I can't say enough about the love Dr. Rugg and his entire team has shown not only Gibson, but all our FiveSibes. To me, they are part of our extended family. Gibson loved going to the office so much, that when he was able to go for walks, he would lead me right to their back door! And one of the staff even painted a portrait of Gibson on their outbuilding! What an honor! The show is an hour long and packed with very import...

It showed a deep infection, but no cancer! SO relieved! She had her bandages changed by our fab vet, and she is now limping less. (To read original post and view the pics, visit HERE ).   ❤️ Thank You ❤️ for all your prayers, healing vibes, lovely messages, and love for our girl. Harley sends you all big Husky hugs and once again a reminder to periodically check those paws and dewclaws.

Our Epi All Star - Gibson - Inspiration for #LiveGibStrong - Final EpiTips & a GIVEAWAY!

To round up November's (Canine) Epilepsy Awareness Month, I'd like to highlight my very special and amazing boy, Gibson. He is my continued inspiration and the namesake behind our #LiveGibStrong K-9 Epilepsy Awareness Campaign where we help share information, resources, links, and fundraisers all to promote education about Canine Epilepsy and the positive and realistic side to living with a dog who has seizures and/or has been diagnosed with Canine Epilepsy. Gibson and I have traveled this journey for nearly seven years together. We live it. He lives with it. I have written about his journey and will continue to do so in the hopes of helping others who may now find themselves on this very same path. We are here to say, Epi-dogs are amazing! And they can and do live full, happy lives. Is it easy? No. Is it expensive? It can be. Is it scary? At times, yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely yes! So today my Epi All Star is the beautiful Husky who started me on this journey, ...
