Woo! This is one of my favorite photos of my hubby, the Hu-Dad, walking with Gibson, that I've shared before, but there's no other photo that quite captures the strong caring silence as this one. Hu-Dad keeps things going smoothly here at our FiveSibes Husky homestead! From building special needs ramp to constructing a deck roof just to keep the weather off the Huskies so they can still enjoy being outdoors, to carrying the pups when they had surgeries, to sharing his pizza crust, not asking what the latest vet bill was, and being a super-pooper-scooper! We are so thankful for him all  he does. He is the best and loved by me and his furry "kids!" Today is also Memorial Day - a day for us to remember and honor the fallen soldiers - both human and K9 - who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we may enjoy the freedoms we have today. We thank you and we will never forget.  

For our Hu-Dad ...who gives us love and treats, and literally builds a roof over our head so the icky rain doesn't touch our precious Siberian Husky fur when we lounge out on the deck.   For our Hu-Dad ...who pets us as we take over the living room floor, couch, chairs, bed, everywhere!  For our Hu-Dad ...who never flinches at our vet bills (okay, maybe he winces a bit).    For Hu-Dad who...fixes all our messes (we did not chew the deck rails, windowsills, kitchen cabinet corners, bottom of chairs, or the cookbooks - that was Gibbie! - Okay, maybe we three Pupsters had something to do with the windowsills...and maybe the deck rails...and okay, maybe we took a few chomps on the bottom of the chairs...but the cookbooks  were all Gibson)!  For our Hu-Dad ...who runs out at the midnight hour when Hu-Mom suddenly realizes we may be low on food (sorry, Hu-Mom, but sometimes you do!).    For our Hu-Dad who...makes sure the...

Today, we the FiveSibes are taking over the blog! Why? Because it is a very special day here at the FiveSibes homestead! It's Hu-Dad's Birthday! Woooo! We're flashing back to some of these pics of Hu-Dad with us over the years! Our Hu-Dad is the best! He builds us cool stuff life a roof over OUR deck (it's once was theirs, but now it's ours)! He wanted to be sure to keep us dry in rainy and snowy weather because he knows how much we love to sit up high on the deck and look over the yard! He carries us when we are injured, and even built us a handipup ramp (for Chloe's recovery from double CCL surgery, and Gibson when he tore his  CCLs and with his bouts of weak hind end), and he used to take Harley with him to court when she was just a pup (she even rode in the police car, but shhhhhh, don't tell the other Sibes!) He loves us lots and we love him! We can't wait to celebrate and eat, oops, we mean give him his ice cream cake! Oh yes, and lots an...

Wooo! It's a very special day here at the FiveSibes homestead...it's Hu-Dad's Birthday! Wooo! He's a special dad who takes care of everything behind the scenes the FiveSibes need. He helps with their rehab, carries them when their legs won't, picks up their dog food, buys them super-duper cushy beds, shares his pizza crust with them, meets Hu-Mom at the vet's when she needs an extra set of strong arms, and is always there to give love and support to whatever they need, and maybe fixes just a few things they may (ahem) chew, break, destroy, eat.  Chewed up window sill? No problem! Hu-Dad will fix it! Rain getting them wet on the deck? No problem! Hu-Dad builds a roof! They need to go to the vet surgeon? No problem! Hu-Dad offers to drive them. Hu-Mom can't fit their pools in her car? No problem! Hu-Dad to the rescue! Wooos for attention? No problem! Hu-Dad is there to pet, play, and wrestle! He sure is the best Hu-Dad ever! Now...did someone say... ...
