Fond Memories of Christmas Past on a #FiveSibes Flashback Friday!

Image
Christmastime has always been a favorite, special, and fun time of year for my family; from my childhood home to the present. The FiveSibes have always added so much happiness and laughter to our lives, and they have enjoyed Christmas just as much as we have! I am so thankful for all the memories. In this video from Christmas 2013, my boys Gibson and Wolf kept me company while wrapping presents under the tree. And, as you can see, Wolf the forever sleepyhead was busy snoozing while big brother Gibson was my silly Elf, "helping" me wrap!  They always pick up on the excitement as THE day draws near...enjoying the decorating, getting and sending cards, and eating doggie treats while we baked. And to this day, laying under the tree and gazing at the twinkling lights is still a favorite past time of theirs...and one I love to watch as it reminds of all the love, peace, warmth, and joy this season is really about. No weather for dogs, especially Siberian Huskies! While my Huskies were all relaxing inside the cool air conditioned house, with quick jaunts outside to do their business, take a quick splash in their pool, and quickly retur back to the cool confines of the house, my thoughts went to my sweet wooly angel Gibson. He did not like the warm weather, let along this brutal heat. Plus, being an Epi-dog, a canine epileptic, heat and overheating can trigger seizures, so keeping him cool was always a top priority, as is keeping all the Huskies cool. Oh, but he did love the pool! This photo is a flashback to three years ago, the summer of 2013, and is one of my favorite photos of Gib. When I pulled out one of the kiddie pools, washed it off, put it down on the deck and then turned around to pull some m...
