Today is Be the Change for Animals' "Blog the Change" and we are promoting National Pet Fire Safety Day , which is also observed annually on today's date ~ July 15 ~ as a reminder to be aware of your pet's safety in case of a fire and take a few moments to be sure you have a safety plan in place and take some advance precautions.   "According to the U.S. Fire Administration, fires in the home are reported every 83 seconds," states ADT Security Systems , who partnered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) in 2009 to designate July 15 as National Pet Fire Safety Day.
