Woo! Today went to the dogs! It's (Inter)National Dog Day! While every day is Dog Day, how wonderful it is to have a special date to celebrate our own dogs (and give extra hugs and treats), and also remember the dogs in shelters and rescues who do not yet have a family of their own. So, another good thing to do today (besides bestow a billion kisses on your own dogs) is to share that love (and treats and some toys, even gently used and clean ones) to a shelter dog or two!  I just donated many items to a local Siberian Husky rescue! It's a great feeling to know other dogs who do not yet have their own loving forever homes have some some special things - whether it is donations of toys, grooming items, treats, food, or even a nice visit for them to get some love and exercise!
