A fun splishin'-and-splashin' #FlashbackFriday tribute to our beautiful Harley from June 2019! Ah, school is almost out here and the hint of hot summer days is in the air. It brings back fond memories of my FiveSibes and their pooltime fun. The best was when we set up their pools for the first time. As I filed it full of water from our hose, the site and sound always brought such happiness to our fab five. Our alpha queen Harley was our true Siberian Husky Beach Babe! She never met a pool (or hose) she didn't love. She was always the first one in and the last one out. Drink in the wild air."  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson   Oh, those fun summer days with my FiveSibes...I can close my eyes and be transported right back to a summertime day when I would open the door to let them all out on into the yard early in the morning and and feel and hear their excitement when I bring up their pools from the yard onto the deck! The zoomies, the woos, and the howls as they circled me excitedly, jumping in and out of the dry pool waiting for the water. As soon as the hose went on, it would always be our beautiful alpha queen Harley first in the water! Oh, how she loved to zoomie and growl and bite the water as it filled the pool! Her excitement was contagious as the other four would then join her, and I would just laugh at their shenanigans and no matter what, life was good! Little did I know then, that this would be the last summer of having five, as my Gibson...

  Flashback Photo ~ July 2019 ~ Wolfie  So just last week we were talking on #FlashbackFriday about the FiveSibes relaxing in the snow as someone shared on social media just how many weeks until the snow flies...now while that will make a Husky very happy, the temps here after a nice few days break, has soared back up to humid levels. So what's a pup to do? Find various ways of keeping cool. This pic is of my boy Wolf enjoying their pool to keep cool. Now while Harley and Bandit were the true lovers of a pool party, especially our alpha queen Harley, you could not keep that girl out of a pool, my boy Wolf is more timid. He prefers to think of the pool as a big blue water dish! These days, he is still not too interested in the pool other than to dip his paws in, and then get right back out.     Fill this thing up, Hu-Mom! But not too full! Woo! After days of rain it came out a warm one today! Time to fill the pool to keep cool! While some of my other FiveSibes loved the pool - like Harley (could not keep that girl out! And she loved to play with the hose water!), Bandit, and Gibson, too, loved the pool and hose. Wolfie on the other hand is a bit stand-offish like his sis Chloe was. He likes to dip his paws in and drink some of the cold water, but splashing and playing is just not his thing!
