Wolf and Bandit spy the "goodies! " We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter this past Sunday! Ours here was quiet and spent with our immediate family and the Sibe kids, of course! We did have to delay their celebration for a couple days as our girl Bandit, who never gets sick, suddenly came down with a tummy bug and was sick most of Easter afternoon and night and into the next day. After a couple days of rest, she is thankfully back to her normal self and back on food, so we were able to do some belated celebrating together as a pack family! They were a very happy, excited bunch of Huskies when they discovered it included treats and toys! Two magical words our Siberian Huskies love to hear! For starters, our FiveSibes were treated to a delicious custom-made and decorated Pumpkin Applesauce "Pupcake" and some pumpkin and peanut butter holiday cutout cookies from Sassy's Goodies in Springfield, Missouri. The Pupcake, according to Nanette ( Sassy's Go...

We want to wish all our furpals and families a very Happy Easter! In getting ready for the Easter Husky to show up, the silly FiveSibes had a little JibJab fun: We also had a good time putting out the special personalized handmade Easter egg bunnies created for each of our FiveSibes last year by our good friends  Holly & the Huskies . It's a favorite decoration! Please keep in mind that while we love our Easter treats, especially that chocolate bunny, many of these foods are not safe for our dogs to eat. Please be sure to keep well out of your dog's reach all chocolates, alcohol, sugar-free candy and gum (Xylitol is toxic to dogs), raisins, and nuts. Other dangers include ingestion of:  foil wrappers, fake Easter grass, watch batteries for toys, plastic from eggs & toys, Easter lily plants, and onions. Please keep your canine companions safely away from burning candles, hot stoves, and the open flame of BBQ grilles. If you are having company visit...

We just loved all the wonderful furpals from around the World who joined us in last year's Easter Parade of Pets, that we just had to share again this year! You may even recognize a few beautiful furry faces! And as you get ready to have some fun this Easter Sunday, just as a reminder, here's a repeat of some safety tips for us all to keep in mind while celebrating this holiday to ensure it's a happy one for all. After the baskets have been found and the egg hunt is over, while dinner is being prepared and guests are arriving, please keep an eye out for the following dangers: Keep pets behind gates, doors, or in kennels as guest arrive & depart so pets don't pull a Houdini and escape Easter plants and flowers, i.e. lillies Easter basket grass (better yet, don't use it; use crumpled up tissue paper)  Easter basket toys Chocolate (and be careful where those chocolate eg...

What a glorious time of year - everything is fresh and growing; a time of rebirth and renewal. We here at the FiveSibes home wish you all a wonderful Easter Sunday. It's been pretty exciting here as the Easter Husky came! And much to the Sibe kids' joy, left them colorful ice cream cone squeaky toys. They even had a fun little egg hunt where bits of homemade Pumpkin Pie Bone and Bunny biscuits I made for them were in with the colored eggs.       Things sure are hoppin' for the FiveSibes... here they are as the Easter Huskies performing a little holiday they would like to share with all of you! Feel free to howl and dance along! Just as a reminder, some safety tips for us all to keep in mind while celebrating this holiday.
