Wrapped Up in Ribbon on #FlashbackFriday

Image
FiveSibes Christmas Flashback 2015 Our dear sweet pupster Chloe. I don't think there could have been a more kinder, sweeter, oblivious Husky! Chloe was a perpetually happy Husky, always talking with her tail always wagging, her eyes always bright, and I swear that girl was always smiling. Of course, I think she believed a treat was always at the end of a greeting, but regardless, Chloe was our pack's sweetheart. She was also the one that  innocently always found herself in mischief or trouble. Always palling around with her brother and sister Wolf and Bandit, she would be the one to get tangled up in something that always left us laughing. Case in point, today's flashback photo...as we were turning around to gather up the ribbons for the tree trimming, this is how we found Chloe! Somehow, she managed to get the curly ribbons twirled all around her. I am writing this with a smile on my face, chuckling at the memory. With feeling sad as this is the first Christmas wi...

Snow Globe of Memories on #FlashbackFriday

Image
Flashback Photo: Gibson & Harley ~ my silly "Reindogs"   Christmas 2007  Snow Globe by Dorothy Wills-Raftery As the snow flakes gently fall in glistening memories of yore, I close my eyes oh-so-tight wishing for so much more. O' golden hours of summer And fall's crisp days aglow Such wonderful memories we made Especially in winter's snow. Time is much akin to snow arriving in beauty and peace giving precious moments of joy before the snow visits cease. Within that moment of quiet time encased in our heart's glass dome The spirit is so brightened For you are forever home. ~ Did you enter our Husky Coffee Giveaway? Bringing Home the Tree on a Huskies Sleigh on a FiveSibes Christmas Flashback Friday!

Image
The Hills Bringing Home the Christmas Tree, 2018! Photo used with permission. In our FiveSibes Family Christmas tradition, the holiday season lasts until what we refer to as "Little Christmas," or January 6th (which also happens to be my furangel Gibson's birth date, how special is that?)! So, for today's last 2018 seasonal Flashback Friday post, I'm sharing a lovely "Bringing Home the Tree" photo above from fellow Husky momma, Karen Hill from Minnesota. To me, the is the absolute perfect way to bring home the tree...on a Huskies-drawn sleigh! Woo! "We didn't realize we were making memories we just knew we were having fun."  ~Winnie the Pooh Now with five Siberian Huskies, you'd think we'd have hooked them up once or twice to a sled, but no, my Huskies are citified! Two of them would prefer to ride on the sled, rather than pull one! The closest I've come to a "sled dog" is when we staged a photo tha...

Dreams of Christmas on a Winter Solstice #FiveSibes Flashback Friday

Image
'Tis the season for peace and heavenly dreams...and a time when Santa Paws peeks in on all good Sibes before coming on Christmas Eve to deliver treats and toys for all good furry girls and boys!  In this Flashback Friday photo from 2015, one of my favorites, our girl Bandit sleeps peacefully under the Christmas tree, waiting for the big day to arrive. The feeling of seeing my dogs happy, healthy, and sleeping so peacefully is a gift in itself. We here at FiveSibes wish you and yours happiness, health, and peace this Christmas season. In celebration of today's Winter Solstice...we here at FiveSibes are lighting a candle for our dear furangel Gibson, who left us in December of 2015, but never ever forgotten. Christmas Card Trivia on a Flashback Friday!

Image
'Tis the season...for holiday cards!  Let's test your musical holiday knowledge! How many of you recall this Christmas classic song?  "Greeting cards have all been sent  The Christmas rush is through  But I still have one wish to make  A special one for you  Merry Christmas darling..." I bet you are humming that tune now! I am a little late to my own blog hop this week, but it's never too late as you can join in all week with any special memories you may like to share! My special FiveSibes Flashback Friday photo up top is from a few years back when my boys, Wolf and big brother Gibson, joined me in opening up the many wonderful cards sent to us by their fans and friends (they actually receive way more cards than we get)! Since my mother and Gibson's passing, and now with my father-in-law just a month ago, we are taking a respite from sending cards, but do look forward to hopefully once again joining in this wonderful tradition ne...
