Wow! It's a special newsy Tuesday as we here at FiveSibes are celebrating our SIXTH Blogiversary this month! As a photojournalist by trade, I was inspired to start blogging by my five Siberian Huskies: Harely, Gibson, Wolfgang, Chloe, and Bandit. Their personalities and antics and our love of the breed spurred me to begin writing about them.  My first blog post February 23, 2010 My very first FiveSibes blog post was on February 23, 2010 with an article on proper dental care for Pet Dental Health Month. Blogging is an something I enjoy very much. I love to write and I love being a photographer. This blog gives me the opportunity to share my work in the pet arena...and I have fabulous models in the FiveSibes! We are so very excited here at the FiveSibes homestead! Harley has been wooing up a storm with some big news...my second FiveSibes illustrated children's book Getting Healthy With Harley: Learning About Health & Fitness has been published! And our alpha queen is so excited about starring in her own book! Think a canine version of Julian Michaels meets Jennifer Beals' character in the 1983 movie, Flashdance! What have my FiveSibes™ characters been up to? Last week, I was so excited to learn from humor writer Carol E. Wyer, who is the author of Mini Skirts and Laughter Lines, Surfing in Stilletos , and the creatively funny force behind the Facing 50 With Laughter blog , that I was tagged for a feature entitled "The Next Big Thing." This weekly feature, where each author passes the torch on to five others for the following week's "The Next Big Thing," is all about writing and what "The Next Big Thing" writers are working on.
