In memory of "Suka" ~ 11/10/11 - 4/14/25 ~and~ "Chinook" ~ 11/29/11 - 3/26/25; Adopted 8/25/21 " Grief never ends...but it changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness nor a lack of faith...It's the price of love." ~Jean Heller   These posts are always so hard to write, but I find celebrating our furangels' lives is not only important, but also healing. Most of us have lost one, or many, beloved pets and know that heartbreak. Today, I want to remember and celebrate two of Jan Jasa's beautiful pups...one—Suka—was a real trailblazer as she bravely, and with the help of her hu-mom, Jan, who sought out alternative treatments, Suka successfully fought hemangiosarcoma for over two years, and she did not pass from it. Touching words shared about Suka from her hu-mom, Jan, "From the moment I saw her I knew I wanted her. A record foster failure. I went to our Taysia Blue Rescue founder, Jackie's house to pic...

Winter Solstice: A Tribute to Our Beloved Snow Dogs

T he longest night...we light a candle in memory of each of our beloved FiveSibes snow dogs—Harley, Gibson, Wolfie, Chloe, and Bandit and also our beloved Sandy and Chelsey (and honorary Husky kitty Smokie) who have all earned their furangel wings. Winter Solstice is a time to pay tribute to these amazing northern breed dogs who loved snow so very much. I like to think of my fab five all together once again having snow zoomies north of the Rainbow Bridge...and...in their own special way, they once again sent me snow today to let me know they are always with me. ❄️ There used to be a site to post tributes to our Siberian Huskies on the Solstices, but sadly it is no longer up. Instead, we share it here on our blog and our FiveSibes: Siberian Husky K9 News & Reviews Facebook page where you can also post a pic of your beloved snow dog under our Winter Solstice post.          Back to our Home Page for the MENU to visit Our #LiveGibStrong On-Line K...

The order screen at McDonalds drive-through window today went dark and this beautiful rainbow X appeared. Was it a message?     " See that beautiful rainbow? That’s them saying hello and that they are okay on the other side."    ~Rebecca, ComfortConnects.com   H ow cool is this?   The photo above...I was at the drive-through to place an order and their screen suddenly "blacks" out, but then a beautiful rainbow light showed reflecting in the now-off order screen! 🌈☀️ I had to stare for a long moment, my mind trying to comprehend what I was witnessing...Then, as I am driving away, the screen comes back on, and all is back to normal. That sign was just for me. Obviously. A sign from our dear #FiveSibes furangel Bandit, who passed just a short two weeks earlier on October 24th, letting me know she had arrived north of the Rainbow Bridge and is with her pack family--sister Chloe, Harley and Gibson?   The rainbow sign had four tangents...in an "X"...which ...
