FiveSibes #FlashbackFriday Returns! Remembering a House Full of Huskies

Image
Our FiveSibes™Flashback Photo ~ Christmas 2014 We are happy to be back with our #FiveSibes #FlashbackFriday Blog Hop just in start for the howliday and snowy season, to the tune of 18" of the fresh white sparkling powder! This Christmas will truly be a different one...it is the first Christmas without our alpha queen Harley and pupster Chloe. To suddenly be down to a pack of two is indeed a very strange thing. It's been sad and surreal to go through our daily routine with Wolfie and Bandit and no sister Chloe or "mama" Harley...I still have a hard time without my beloved Gibson, and this month it will be four years he has been celebrating Christmas at the Rainbow Bridge, along with my dear mother. This card sums up my feelings perfectly. Now that our Harley and Chloe have joined them, and as you know from my last post and the reason for our blogging break, it has been very difficult to adjust to their passing both for me and for my pupsters Wolf and...

Dreams of Christmas on a Winter Solstice #FiveSibes Flashback Friday

Image
'Tis the season for peace and heavenly dreams...and a time when Santa Paws peeks in on all good Sibes before coming on Christmas Eve to deliver treats and toys for all good furry girls and boys!  In this Flashback Friday photo from 2015, one of my favorites, our girl Bandit sleeps peacefully under the Christmas tree, waiting for the big day to arrive. The feeling of seeing my dogs happy, healthy, and sleeping so peacefully is a gift in itself. We here at FiveSibes wish you and yours happiness, health, and peace this Christmas season. In celebration of today's Winter Solstice...we here at FiveSibes are lighting a candle for our dear furangel Gibson, who left us in December of 2015, but never ever forgotten. To read my "Remembering Gibson" on his 3rd Anniversary at the Rainbow Bridge, post, please visit HERE .     You're Invited! #Hello2018!

Image
Happy New Year!  So you have been wondering where we've been...since my last post was way before Christmas on December 18! I feel like I missed the whole holiday season (oh, wait, I did!) due to a case of bronchitis, complicated, as many of you know, by my having Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Fibromyalgia, two things that can give my immune system a beating and cause chronic exhaustion and pain, that can make recovery a slow process.  So, it's been a long three weeks of rest, cough-filled sleep, doctor visits, medication, liquids, Vicks, essential oils, chicken soup, and four furry nurses to keep me company under the glow of the colorful Christmas tree while I caught up on every show I think I have ever been interested in! As you can see from the photo above, my boy Wolf and sister Chloe keep a very close eye on me! While I pretty much isolated myself from the rest of my family, Christmas Day came and went way too fast for me. And it was also the first Christmas wit...

Christmas Card Trivia on a Flashback Friday!

Image
'Tis the season...for holiday cards!  Let's test your musical holiday knowledge! How many of you recall this Christmas classic song?  "Greeting cards have all been sent  The Christmas rush is through  But I still have one wish to make  A special one for you  Merry Christmas darling..." I bet you are humming that tune now! I am a little late to my own blog hop this week, but it's never too late as you can join in all week with any special memories you may like to share! My special FiveSibes Flashback Friday photo up top is from a few years back when my boys, Wolf and big brother Gibson, joined me in opening up the many wonderful cards sent to us by their fans and friends (they actually receive way more cards than we get)! Since my mother and Gibson's passing, and now with my father-in-law just a month ago, we are taking a respite from sending cards, but do look forward to hopefully once again joining in this wonderful tradition ne...

A FiveSibes Christmas Tale!

Image
Gibson having some pre-Christmas fun! He makes such a handsome Christmas tree, doesn't he? Harley sure thinks so! And the stockings were hung from the bannister with care in hopes that Santa Paws would soon be there! Darling Chloe looked every bit the Christmas princess all decked out in the tree skirt while "helping" decorate the tree! Harley kept busy snoopervising all the tree trimming and wrapping of presents! Wolf assisted with the wrapping and Hu-Dad's was extra special - it had FiveSibes wrapping paper on it!  Bandit loved playing one of Santa's reindogs! She didn't mind the antlers at all! Anything for Santa! Woo! Harley and Gibson are excited that it's time to open all our cards from our Blogger furpals! "Woo! I see one more!" says Harley, checking the mailbox. "Woooo! We received so many fun and beautiful cards from our furpals across the globe! I love getting cards...
