We here at FiveSibes are pretty excited to be celebrating the 7th Anniversary of my show, "The SibeVibe" on Dog Works Radio, where if it's about a Siberian Husky, canine epilepsy, or all things dog, we'll chat about it! It's been an amazing seven years getting to know and interview so many wonderful canine and Husky loving guests who have shared the mic on air with me and shared their stories and expertise with our listeners! Our very first show and guest was with the lovely folks from the Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida! Every single show over these past seven years has been a highlight for me. A fond memory was meeting my producers Robert and Michele Forto, who in July 2016 traveled from Alaska to meet me here in the lower 48 to do a live broadcast of our 4th Anniversary show together! A proud moment for the show was having one of my epis...

In the words of my FiveSibes, "Wooooo!"  I have been a long-time member of the Dog Writers of America Association (DWAA), and was thrilled to have some of my work recognized! Last year's nominations included my FiveSibes "The Sibe Vibe" Dog Works Radio show on Canine Epilepsy, featuring Dr. Karen Munana and Julie Nettifee of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine; for a photograph of Gibson, and for my humorous  "Vote Gibson!" blog post.  This year, I was once again so proud to have my work receive nominations for a  photo of Wolf  and for my blog article on my two shelter dogs I adopted from our local SPCA. But, to have received the news that I won the prestigious Maxwell Medallion medal for my blog article, out of 8 other finalists who are all talented writers, I am honored! As a career photojournalist, at the end of the day, it has always been my sincere hope that my stories touch people in a special and unique way....

Wooo! We are so excited! Look who are the  "Cover Dogs"  for the Winter 2013 issue of the  Dog Writers Association of America 's  Ruff Drafts  newsletter...  our very own resident couple Gibson and Harley!   We are so honored! Thank you DWAA for  selecting our Sibes! So, I suppose... ...they will want a steak dinner tonight... ...and some sunglasses... ...and will start giving pawtographs... ...and have me take their calls... ...and read fan mail to them... ...and drive them around in a limo... ...have me fetch their toys... ...and expect me to wait on them... Oops...gotta run...Harley and Gibson are calling me!   ( wink-wink! ) Have a great day!
