Happy "Sweet 16" Birthday to our Alpha Queen Harley at the Rainbow Bridge

Today is a bittersweet post as it would have been our beautiful alpha queen Harley's Sweet 16 Birthday. Harley was our first Siberian Husky, and the OG of the FiveSibes pack family! She was the inspiration behind my love of the breed, and the reason I fell under the Husky Potato Chip syndrome! (I could not just have one Husky)!

Birthdays were also so much fun with my FiveSibes. It's as if they understood that cake and toys were coming! And Harley naturally embraced her princess role! She loved crowns! That's our alpha queen!

Our queen wore her crown proudly!

Cake time was always a blast!

She was the "momma" dog...taking in the three Pupsters as if they were her own. She was the true love of Gibson, smitten since the moment he met her and she rammed him head over fluffy butt into the pool! I always loved how she would keep the Pupsters in line, teach them the ways of a Siberian Husky, and snuggle up with all of them. She was spunky and sassy, and could even be a bit snarley at times! Yet, she loved to give snuffles (not quite a kiss) and loved to be snuggled, all on her terms, of course! She was petite, yet a power pack! She would play Fetch! until I dropped from exhaustion, and then she'd still be coming over shoving the toy or ball at me to play some more!

Harley was an amazing "surrogate" momma dog! She took the Pupsters under her wing as though they were her own!

All the Sibes would woo and bark until she led them in song...and she sang proudly and loudly on top of her little Husky lungs - and always off-key! That girl was gorgeous, but could not hold a note! Oh, but the joy to watch and hear them! Special times. Hear for yourself below!

The photo above is how my evenings looked! (Of course Gibson would be gazing at Harley!) Oh, how I miss those golden days of joy! I never thought they'd ever end. I was always so proud and in love with how my FiveSibes loved each other.

Harley is dearly missed.
As my daughter put it (Harley was my daughter's Husky), she was one "badass dog" and she is so missed. But today, we celebrate her,  the most beautiful badass Siberian Husky we have ever known! I hope she is enjoying zoomies with love Gibson, and Pupsters Chloe and Bandit in those forever snowy fields, beyond the Rainbow Bridge. And...I know they are all enjoying some ice cream cake.

Happy Birthday, Harley. Wolfie also misses you, and we will all love and miss you for always.

Love, Always and Forever
your FiveSibesMom
