Thoughts of Sweet Chloe on Her Rainbow Bridge Anniversary

 Flashback ~ Sweet Pupster "Chloe" ~ 2018

It's so hard to believe that our pupster, Chloe, our sweet, always happy, chatterbox of a Husky, has been gone for two years this week. So much here has changed since then, including the loss of Harley and Chloe's sis, Bandit, a move, and a new little human. Chloe was the sweetest. She would not even harm a fly. Seriously. She was also my resident model pup as she was always up for a photoshoot! Like this pic, a good friend, "Auntie Holly" sent this awesome custom FiveSibes snowflake to us one Christmas and I wanted to take a photo. Who was up to pose? Our sweetie was!

She loved my grandson, who just a baby, and food. Oh, Coco Puff and her food! Her internal clock knew exactly when it was breakfast and dinner time, and if she even sniffed a treat, she would woo, and talk, and bark (and yes, some Huskies can bark!) Chloe was actually my daughter's Husky, and helped each other through some difficult times. Sweet Chloe was only three when she went to jump up on the bed and blew out both CCLs (shredded them according to the vet surgeon) and her meniscuses. While she was carried in to the surgeon's, it was nothing short of miraculous to see her walk out on all fours (with help of a sling) post surgery, her tail wagging as always. If you'd like to read about her journey, visit my For the Love of Chloe blog post HERE.

Another time, she experienced short-term blindness as a result of a new at-the-time topical flea and tick treatment. Talk about scared! My daughter slept on the floor right next to her all night. Thankfully, she regained her sight 24 hours later. Then, the winter before she passed, she suddenly swelled up by something that must have bit her or something she came in contact with. Again, scary! You can read about What the Heck Happened to Chloe? Beware of Winter Allergies post to see as awareness in case you find yourself faced with a swollen faced dog! Again, our girl rallied! She certainly was a trooper! Losing her that beautiful to acute liver disease that summer day was a shock. She was able to pass peacefully out on the deck, in the breeze, with her brother Wolfie, sister Bandit, and momma Harley all around her. Oh, how she is missed...but, a comforting thought if there is any when we suffer loss, is that she is now with most of our FiveSibes pack, Gibson, Harley, and Bandit, running in those forever beautiful snowy fields, north of the Rainbow Bridge, but always and forever in our hearts. I sure do hope they treats there!

This is a photo many of have seen ~ it looks like a beautiful Huskymaking his/her journey on a cloud to the Rainbow Bridge. I wish I knew who the photographer was so I could give credit, but unfortunately, it's "unknown" at this time. But this is exactly how I picture Chloe on her way to meet her family that is already there: Big brother Gibson, "momma" Harley, and littlermate sister, Bandit
