also highlighting each of the four Rescues into individual posts so these beautiful homeless Huskies get the attention they
deserve, and hopefully several kind "elves" will help fill their Howliday
Wish Lists and bring some joy to these Huskies while they wait for
their

the season to help homeless Siberian Huskies in need! As we've all
seen, there is a serious problem of Huskies and northern breed dogs
being "surrendered," or worse, abandoned, some ill and injured, and
their only hope is that rescue folks will be able to save them. Due to
the tremendous number of them being abandoned by what they thought were
their forever families, rescues are filled beyond capacity, some have
closed intakes, while others are hoping more fosters step forward to
help give them temporary homes until a forever one can be found. Without
them, these beautiful dogs have zero chance. They are a magnanimous
breed that need exercise, socialization, interaction, and love. A
shelter is no place for any dog, especially this breed. And there are
just too many now who are waiting for their forever homes, whether it is
in the care of a
loving foster family or waiting at a brick-and-mortar rescue for someone
to
come and welcome them into their family. These dogs depend on rescues,
and we depend on rescues to help them--but the rescues need help, or
else they can't continue to save the Huskies.
Why do I do this? For me, sharing my life with my beloved FiveSibes—Harley, Gibson, Wolfgang,
Chloe, and Bandit—I learned so much and received so much love back from them.
They will always be in my heart. And in their names, I’d like to once again help other
Siberian Huskies in need get a little taste of what a wonderful Christmas
filled with love from a forever family can be like.

SAGE
is a beauty! Just look at that face! Sage is also an Epi-dog (epileptic
dog), and if you've been a reader of mine, you know how special they
are to me, and how they can do everything any other dog can do. She
doesn't let seizures stop her from enjoying life as only a dog can. Sage
is on medications and she just loves life and Lorraine of Husky House tells
me she is a "sassy girl who is spoiled rotten!" She resides at Husky
House and is loved by all! She was my featured Epi-Star for November 2023

Handsome Meeko is an approximately 3-year-and-8-month old a male husky who was adopted from a county shelter in New Jersey, but
surrendered back to them for chasing cats in the home. Meeko is a
friendly, playful boy who is great with all people and other dogs his
size. Based on his history, he needs to go to a home without small dogs
or cats.Meeko would love a forever home to be in to enjoy with a loving family. See his bio HERE.

The Birthday Girl!
According to Husky House, "Mama" Peanut is a beautiful 2-year-old female Husky (whose birthday is about December 8th). She was rescued from a hoarding situation along with nine other Huskies. She was pregnant when she was saved and gave birth to nine puppies at Husky House, one of which was unfortunately stillborn. Peanut will be able to go home when her puppies are old enough to be separated from her (around 12/20), but we are accepting applications for her now. Peanut’s previous owners indicated that she was attacked as a puppy and suffered a neck injury, but we suspect she actually suffered a brain injury as she had a head tilt. Peanut is a gentle dog and loves treats! She also does well with other dogs her size. Peanut can be a bit of a 'counter surfer' and would do best in a family that can help her continue work on this, and keep things unsafe for dogs to consume out of reach."
