Getting Sassy for Goodies!

Image
‘Tis the season for … Treats! Cakes! Chips!  It’s a dog’s dream come true! One of the donated items to our recent #LiveGibStrong K-9 Epilepsy Awareness online benefit auction was a treat bowl filled with Sassy's Goodies . Now we’ve heard some great reviews about these doggie goodies that we decided to give them a FiveSibes taste test ourselves! Harley stepped up and volunteered to be the first to try out these goodies! Sassy Sassy’s Goodies, named after the business owner’s very own Siberian Husky “Sassy,” is an online store, but are also carried in several retail stores located in Missouri. (To find out where, click HERE ). Sassy’s Goodies Owner, Baker, Siberian Husky Mom, and a United States Military wife, Nanette says the company is still in its infancy stages and something to help with income after her husband returned from Afghanistan and Iraq.   Today, on international Epilepsy Day, we are so excited to announce the debut of the brand new “Gib Nibs” – a hand-crafted, gluten-free dog treat made by Nanette Willis, a Husky mom, United States Military wife, and the owner and baker at Sassy’s Goodies (with the Epi-dog (epileptic dog) in mind. And…a giveaway, too! Read about that a bit later in this post and be sure to enter! After several discussions between Nanette and I on what Gibson had in his diet, and the ingredients that could and should not be in an Epi-dog’s treat, Gib Nibs was born! And I am so honored that Nanette is naming them after my beloved boy, the forever #LiveGibStrong K-9 Epilepsy ambassador, Gibson!  Nanette, whose physical Sassy’s Goodies bakery is located in Springfield, MO and online store at sassysgoodies.com/ , was excited to join in our #LiveGibStrong K-9 Epilepsy Awareness and educational campaign to help other dogs living with seizures and their caregivers, and she has graciousl...

A Pupcake, Some "Chocolate" Bunnies, and a Whole Lot of Easter Fun!

Image
Wolf and Bandit spy the "goodies! " We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter this past Sunday! Ours here was quiet and spent with our immediate family and the Sibe kids, of course! We did have to delay their celebration for a couple days as our girl Bandit, who never gets sick, suddenly came down with a tummy bug and was sick most of Easter afternoon and night and into the next day. After a couple days of rest, she is thankfully back to her normal self and back on food, so we were able to do some belated celebrating together as a pack family! They were a very happy, excited bunch of Huskies when they discovered it included treats and toys! Two magical words our Siberian Huskies love to hear! For starters, our FiveSibes were treated to a delicious custom-made and decorated Pumpkin Applesauce "Pupcake" and some pumpkin and peanut butter holiday cutout cookies from Sassy's Goodies in Springfield, Missouri. The Pupcake, according to Nanette ( Sassy's Go...
