My beautiful Gibson ~ #Flashback ~ Purple Day 2014   With Purple Day taking place tomorrow...and our 7th Annual #LiveGibStrong K9 Epilepsy Purple Day Blog Hop & Social Media Share, I thought it fitting that today's #FlashbackFriday should be of my sweet gentle boy, Gibson, the face of a Canine Epilepsy warrior, inspiration behind my books and #LiveGibStrong K-9 Epilepsy Awareness, and why I became a Purple Day® Ambassador way back in 2012 to advocate for Epi-dogs (dogs with epilepsy). Pictured above, my sweet Gib-who was always right by my side, or feet, was keeping a watchful eye over me as I prepared for Purple Day 2014!   My first St. Paddy's Day was yesterday without any of my beloved FiveSibes...they say the "firsts" are the most difficult...and it's true...and I do so miss my boy, Wolfie. It's just shy of four months since joined my other Huskies, north of the Rainbow Bridge, so I a still have a year of "firsts" to cry my way through...BUT, today, I want to focus my #FlashbackFriday on remembering them as they were, beautiful, silly, fun, loving, and always so happy. That is a true testament to the spirit of a dog, and to my Gibson, Harley, Wolfie, Chloe, and Bandit.  FiveSibes Flashback Photo ~  Harley ~ March 10, 2017 Our beautiful alpha queen Harley, the surrogate momma of our FiveSibes Pupsters, would have been 17 years old today, March 10th. Oh, my, that is so hard to believe. Even harder to believe is that she is no longer with us. She was always our spunky, full of energy and joy Husky. In her honor, this will be our special FlashbackFriday post. Oh, how Harley loved to play Fetch! Even as a senior, she would run like the wind, until she became winded, but would still keep trying to get us to "try and catch her!" She was such an amazing girl. Our first Siberian Husky, my daughter's baby...who kicked off our love for the breed and became the head of what was to be our #FiveSibes pack family! Those were the most amazing fun-filled, crazy, Sibe-loving days.
