Flashback Photo of Gibson, Autumn 2014 Ohhhh, that face. That sweet face. Gibson's face still melts my heart whenever I see a photo of him. It is hard to believe this is our third Autumn without my big, silly, loving, wooly boy. While Harley is the alpha queen, his true love, and the Pupsters' surrogate momma, Gibson was the glue that held them all together as pack. Where he went, they all followed. If it was chilly, they all huddled around him. If it was hot and he dug a massive hole under our maple tree, they all followed and dug neighboring holes to lay all around him. He was Harley's "hubby" and the Pupsters' big brother. While Huskies are known to be pretty silly, Gibson was the king of making me laugh. And he always seemed to know exactly when a laugh was needed. Even with all his challenges of living with Canine Epilepsy, if he was a human (and at times I believe he thought he was), he would have had a brave smile on his face, making sure everyone ...

Apparently Mother Nature does not want summer to be over here in the Northeast, with temps in the high 80s and humidity at almost 100, what's a snow dog to do? While washing down the deck, our alpha queen Harley dove right in for some wacky water dancing! When it's hot out, what makes a better partner than a spray of cool water to cha-cha-cha with?! Why do I blog?  That is a question many writers and bloggers are asked. For me, I write to help educate others on the breed of the Siberian Husky, to bring awareness to dogs with Canine Epilepsy, to encourage adopting a Siberian Husky or Siberian Husky/mix from a shelter or rescue, and to share the pure enjoyment of having a dog (or five in my case) as part of the family! I write...to save lives...of Huskies in shelters who are passed by because of misinformation on the breed, have epilepsy or a seizure disorder, or are of senior age. By the power of the mighty pen, we can share important and accurate information so folks interested in adding a new furry best friend to their family can obtain the information they need in order to adopt and give the dog the best and proper care they can with all the resources needed at their fingertips.
