It's Thanksgiving! And we have so much to be thankful for! I am so thankful for my wonderful family: my husband, my best friend/daughter, my mom (who is 93 years young!), and our five beautiful, silly, loving Siberian Huskies and our feral-turned-baby adopted kitty, Binx. I'm also thankful for all the amazing friends, readers, listeners, and supporters that I've come to know through my FiveSibes! As many of my readers know,  I've been posting a daily Epi-Tip for the 30 days of November, wrapping up my new book about Canine Epilepsy, EPIc Dog Tales: Heartfelt Stories About Dogs Living & Loving Life With Canine Epilepsy, and sharing valuable information and resources via articles, social media posts, broadcasts on my "The Sibe Vibe" Dog Works Radio show, and even holding our first online benefit auction. You MAY share this image.  Recruiting Epi-Dogs for Canine Keppra Extended Release Pharmacokinetic Study Recruitment is open for dogs with epilepsy that are being treated with Keppra XR (levetiracetam extended release)) and Phenobarbital (group I) Keppra XR and Zonisamide (Zonegran) (group II) , or Keppra XR alone (group III) for a Pharmacokinetic study. This study is being conducted at North Carolina State University-College of Veterinary Medicine , under the direction of Dr. Karen Muñana, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology). If your dog has been diagnosed with epilepsy, and is receiving the drugs listed above in any of the 3 groups listed, we are interested in sampling your pet to determine how Keppra XR interacts with the other anticonvulsants through sequential blood sampling in a one-day study. Meet beautiful Daisy. Missy Erickson and Andy Lakatosh are hu-parents to a Siberian Husky, Eva, they adopted from Alley’s Rescued Siberian Angel s in California. Eva had had a broken front leg, and when she first came to live in her new forever home, her cast had just come off and she had little stitches in her leg. It only took a few months before she started walking on it, and now she is doing just great! Recently, Eva’s hu-dad, Andy, was leaving work when he saw a dirty, lonely Siberian Husky roaming around the town of Carson in California. The Husky reeked of urine and trash, but Andy’s heart could not leave the stray. So he brought her home , and even being so smelly and dirty, Daisy shown so much love and given hugs by this wonderful couple.  Daisy with her new dad. Andy and Missy gave her a bath, food and water, shelter, and love. For two weeks they searched for her family. Daisy is microchipped, but the contact phone number has been disconnecte...

This week coming up it's time for Thanksgiving preparations and turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, the parade, and a food coma for all! So we thought it was fitting for our Flashback Friday photo to be one of my all-time favorites from 2010 when Harley was five, Gibson four, and the Pupsters were just mere pups at two! I had just placed the pan of stuffing on the kitchen window sill to cool off, when what should appear? Piercing blue eyes! Now while they could not have stuffing (onions and garlic - no-nos for the furkids), they did enjoy my recipe for their own Turkey MishMash!
