Today is Veterans Day - on this 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month , I write today's annual remembrance post to thank all those who have served our country, both human and canine. Woo! It's me Gibson...I took control of Mom's laptop today to talk about Election Day. As many of you know, I am the parent to an Epi- D og, my Siberian Husky, Gibson, who was diagnosed shortly after his third birthday in 2009. I have written many times about Gibson's experiences and my book, What's Wrong With Gibson? Learning About K-9 Epilepsy was based on those experiences and shared in an illustrated book perfect for young children to learn about seizures and Canine Epilepsy in a non-scary and helpful way.  First, I have to say, it took me a couple years to be able to step out from behind the fear of Canine Epilepsy to actually talk about it. The Pupster Cuddlebugs: Baby Chloe, Wolf, and Bandit This is one of my favorite photos of The Pupsters' taken right after their first bath! They fell asleep in what my daughter dubbed the "puppy pileup" - a tradition they would keep! They always loved to sleep all cuddled up to and on top of each other, and when it's chilly, they still do snuggle together! Even though Chloe has remained the real cuddle bug of the bunch, snuggling up to not only her sibemates, but one of her favorite spots to be right up against big wooly brother Gibson! Happy Howl-o-ween to all our furpals! It's such a fun time of year with walk around the neighborhood and see what's going on!  We hope you all had a safe and spooktacular day playing tricks on the hu-family and eating lots of tasty treats! So to start of f t he day, I couldn't resist "tri cking" my sleepyhead Wolf this morning! BOL! Was he surprised!   Now i t's not all tricks over here ...th ere's lots of treats , both fun ones and yummy ones, too... Toy Treats for: Gibson, Harley, Bandit, Wolf, and Chloe!   And decorating... When I see a rainbow, I think of all the beauty in life. Our furpal Suka felt the same way...he and his Hu-Mom K spoke of life's beauty many times in their blog. I know that so many of us here in Bloggerville have now heard the news about Suka leaving on his journey for the Rainbow Bridge. He had just been diagnosed with incurable heart disease and was given anywhere from a few weeks to a few years to love K, feel the snow on his nose, and dealing with those Kung Fu bunnies. It was with such shock and sadness to hear our dear beautiful Suka was desperately needed as a FurAngel, and was called for his next big adventure in the sky a lot sooner rather than later. We all have said before how we have become a close-knit community of pet parents here, and when one of us loses a beloved pal, we all feel it. We weep tears for friends we may never have met, but have surely come to know through their stories, photos, and Emails. Such is our friendship with Suka and K. I'...
