Happy Fourth With Our Huskies & Their Gift of Love & Dog-Safe Fireworks
The story behind these photos, which took place in July of 2019, just five weeks after Chloe had earned her wings, is a touching one, and shows the true love between a boy and his dogs. My grandson (who also recently co-wrote my new book, Wolfie, What is the Rainbow Bridge? ) felt the remaining three Huskies—Wolfie, Bandit, and Harley—were very sad and missing Chloe. So, he went to the store with his mother/my daughter, and picked out "firecracker" squeaky toys for them as cheer-up toys! Yup, I cried. For so young, his love and compassion for the dogs shined through...and did right up until Wolfie (who became his best buddy) earned his wings. So while bittersweet, I will always remember the love and kindness my grandson had for the dogs during their time grief. ❤️
Since it's Independence Day, I always share our FiveSibes tips featuring dear pupster, Wolfie...
And it wouldn't be the Fourth of July if I didn't share my favorite brief video of our beloved alpha queen Harley, the Fourth of July Queen, the true embodiment of the holiday! She rocked those blinking patriotic glasses!
We are wishing you and your pets a very safe and Happy Independence Day! Happy Birthday, America!

What fun flashbacks those were! I got some stuffie squeaky firecrackers at Aldi's a few weeks ago...they even have a feathery end depicting the fuse, LOL!
