Play Elf and Sponsor-A-Rescue-Husky for the Howlidays: FREE SPIRIT SIBERIAN RESCUE
Quick ReCap: ‘Tis
the season to help homeless Siberian Huskies in need! As we've all
seen, there is a serious problem of Huskies and northern breed dogs
being "surrendered," or worse, abandoned, some ill and injured, and
their only hope is that rescue folks will be able to save them. Due to
the tremendous number of them being abandoned by what they thought were
their forever families, rescues are filled beyond capacity, some have
closed intakes, while others are hoping more fosters step forward to
help give them temporary homes until a forever one can be found. Without
them, these beautiful dogs have zero chance. They are a magnanimous
breed that need exercise, socialization, interaction, and love. A
shelter is no place for any dog, especially this breed. And there are
just too many now who are waiting for their forever homes, whether it is
in the care of a
loving foster family or waiting at a brick-and-mortar rescue for someone
to
come and welcome them into their family. These dogs depend on rescues,
and we depend on rescues to help them--but the rescues need help, or
else they can't continue to save the Huskies.

"ADONIS"
"Hi, I’m Adonis, a 7-year-old, 60 pound very handsome long-haired (wooly) Husky who made my way here from New Mexico. I’m full of energy, and while I’m a quiet guy, I’m also really sweet. I absolutely love going on long walks and running around in the yard. Fetch is one of my favorite games, and I’m proud to say I know all my commands. I respond well to positive reinforcement, whether it’s a kind word or a tasty treat, and once I trust you, I’ll show you just how affectionate I can be." 🩷 "I have to admit, I need a little space when I’m faced with something new—whether it’s a new place, a person I don’t know, another dog, or just something unfamiliar happening around me.
It really helps
when I’m given the time to get comfortable. Once I feel safe, I’ll start to
investigate, and before long, I’ll warm up to you. When I know I can trust
someone, my true personality comes out, and you’ll see just how playful and
loving I can be. I’ve had a couple of incidents in the past where I reacted out
of fear when I wasn’t given enough time to adjust, and I did bite a couple of
people. But I want you to know that with those I trust, I’ve never shown
aggression or possessiveness. I think I’d be happiest in a quiet home with a
big, fenced yard where I can explore and run around. I’d also love to be with
an active person who enjoys long walks as much as I do. I’ve met kids who are
10 and older, and I’m okay with them based on my experiences with a volunteer
family. But for now, I’d prefer to be the only dog in the home. The most
important thing for me is trust. Once I build that bond with you, you’ll see
the real me—the sweet, playful dog that I truly am. If you can offer me a
low-stress home and consistent, gentle guidance, I promise I’ll be a loyal and
loving companion for years to come!"
Adonis' Howliday Wish List
Adonis would LOVE a patient foster home! He also love for a few other things, and of course treats! "I love them all," he woos!
Adonis could use some of these Dasuquin joint health supplements. (All three of these pups could use some of these, maybe an elf could donate a few bags?)
He would love some Natural Bully Sticks! (All three pups would love these, so maybe an elf can donate a few bags?!)
Also some Greenies Dental Care Dog Treats!
(The other pups would love some too, so a Value Pack or three for this trio is great!)
I'd
like to recommend Husky Coffee Co. treats - and for a limited time they
are offering a special: for every bag of their treats, get one half-off! They will apply the discount at checkout. And..they donate 20% of profits to Husky rescues!
"LUNA"
If you are looking for a very pretty, affectionate, and active white, 67 pound, lovable senior husky girl, meet Luna!."Luna [Luna Bear] is an absolute favorite of ours and of all the volunteers," notes the Rescue. "She is 9 years old, and it breaks our heart to think that she might spend the rest of her days in a shelter. She deserves a wonderful home, with active people who can give her walks, which she loves. She is very active and loving and interactive."
I had to share this pic of Luna from Free Spirit as it is just stunning I had to share! Can't you imagine taking Luna on sunset walks at your house?!
Luna truly sounds like a dream dog!
Pupford Freeze-Dried Training Treats
Luna, like Adonis, would love some Natural Bully Sticks! (All three pups would love these, so maybe an elf can donate a few bags?!)
And Luna would love some Toys, of course!
Luna would also enjoy some Greenies Dental Care Dog Treats!
(The other pups would love some too, so a Value Pack or three for this trio is great!)
Luna eats Purina Bright Minds and sure would enjoy some under her tree!
"ELIZA"
"Hi, I’m Eliza—a petite, sassy, and energetic four-year-old girl with a lot of personality! I was adopted and lived in my previous home for three years, but unfortunately, it wasn’t a safe place for me, so I had to come back to the rescue. Now, I’m looking for a new home where I’ll be loved and protected, just like I deserve."
" In my previous home, I learned a lot—I’m crate-trained and potty-trained, so you won’t have to worry about that. I absolutely love playing fetch, going on walks, and having fun with other dogs. I’m strong and full of energy, but because of my enthusiasm, I’m not the best fit for homes with cats or chickens—I just like them a little too much! I’m really hoping to find my forever home soon so I can experience the comfort and joy of home life again. If you’re looking for a lively, loyal companion, I might be just the girl for you!"
