Help Make Homeless Huskies Happy for the Howlidays: Sponsor A Sibe in Need!
‘Tis the season to help homeless Siberian Huskies in need! As we've all seen, there is a serious problem of Huskies and northern breed dogs being "surrendered," or worse, abandoned, some ill and injured, and their only hope is that rescue folks will be able to save them. Due to the tremendous number of them being abandoned by what they thought were their forever families, rescues are filled beyond capacity, some have closed intakes, while others are hoping more fosters step forward to help give them temporary homes until a forever one can be found. Without them, these beautiful dogs have zero chance. They are a magnanimous breed that need exercise, socialization, interaction, and love. A shelter is no place for any dog, especially this breed. And there are just too many now who are waiting for their forever homes, whether it is in the care of a
loving foster family or waiting at a brick-and-mortar rescue for someone to
come and welcome them into their family. These dogs depend on rescues, and we depend on rescues to help them--but the rescues need help, or else they can't continue to save the Huskies.
Rescues, volunteers, and fosters do incredible, sometimes impossible, work. From saving Huskies who have been abandoned, injured, sick, and even owner-surrendered…these caring folks go above and beyond to help Huskies in need…from getting them medical care, finding them a caring foster home, offering transportation, working with them to readjust to love and a home life, training, and helping rehabilitate them and acclimate them to a loving home life.
For me, sharing my life with my FiveSibes—Harley, Gibson, Wolfgang,
Chloe, and Bandit—I learned so much and received so much love back from them.
They will always be in my heart. And in their names, I’d like to once again help other
Siberian Huskies in need get a little taste of what a wonderful Christmas
filled with love from a forever family can be like.
So grab your favorite cuppa holiday cheer, kick back, and read about these beauties here in our Annual "Sponsor A Homeless Husky at a Rescue" post. And..be sure to check out some of these items on Amazon as there are

Meet Tiny Harold! Tiny Harold has had a rough start for just a puppy. He came to Husky House from Texas, where he was found after being thrown out of a truck window. 😢 "He did not suffer any physical injuries from being thrown, but his eyes were observed to be in pretty bad shape - they were bulging and had green pus coming out! Husky House brought him to see an ophthalmologist and he was diagnosed with glaucoma. He just had surgery to remove both his eyes and is currently recovering. Tiny Harold is understandably confused and scared, but is still a sweet and friendly puppy."

ReplyDeleteLayla and I are praying they all find homes for the howlidays as they deserve lots of love and a warm bed to sleep on. Happy Howlidays from us
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely lovely gift idea! What could be better than helping a pup in need? Unless it's helping two or three or a whole shelter of pets in need, right? This is a wonderful gift list. I will certainly be sharing and hoping that they all get to their furever homes as well as a nice gift for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteIt must be a challenge that many people do not know how to cope with, am I right? A husky needs lot of attention and exercise and won't be happy with a five minute walk around the block!
ReplyDeleteI love that you have gift ideas for the pups, it must be a tough job for the rescues caring for them all. I dearly hope some of them have a warm and cosy home for Christmas with fun and snow and family.
