"The mission of the Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida, Inc. is to rescue stray, abused, surrendered and unwanted Siberian Huskies. First and foremost we believe that an adopter is making a lifetime commitment to the love, care, health and safety of the animal. Neither more nor less than one would expect when adopting a human child. The adopter is not supplying a home to something that is “just a dog”. If one thinks that way they should not apply for one of our Siberians. If you adopt a young Husky and they do what most every young dog does; have bathroom accidents in the house, chew on your furniture, knock things over and generally just run around having fun you should be tolerant of their actions. They will learn what they are allowed to do and what they are not if you give them a modicum of patience and firm but non-violent instruction."

How Can I Adopt or Foster From
Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida, Inc.?

Be a resident of Florida. Complete their online Adoption Application at: http://www.siberrescue.com/adoptol.html and apply to Foster at: http://www.siberrescue.com/fosterol.htm

Please consider signing up to foster a Husky in Florida. The shelters are over-capacity with Huskies and SHRF could really use some responsible foster families to help them rescue homeless Huskies in need. The more fosters who can take in a Husky, the more Huskies SHRF can save!

Meet Some of the Beautiful Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida, Inc., Adoptables!

What's This NEW #WaitingWednesday
Blog Hop All About?

It's about becoming a "village" to help rescues, homeless Huskies, and all abandoned pets of any species in need. It's also to share breed information to help educate folks so they understand the traits, habits, and needs of specific breeds, such as the Siberian Husky, BEFORE they welcome one into their home to ensure the home will be a forever one. Please check out our recent post HERE where I talk all about this new important Blog Hop!

Also, please be sure to read a very important and informative blog article wrote, #BreedEducate2Relate: It Takes A Village to Help Huskies in Need about the explosion of Siberian Huskies being abandoned and to become on educated on the breed before welcoming one into a home, as well as an equally important companion article in 4Knines titled Siberian Husky Rescues: A Heartfelt Mission to Help the Homeless. I hope if you have not read these, you will and share with others, too.

How You Can Join in Our Weekly "Village" to  Help Homeless Pets...

Write a blog post (or Facebook or Instagram post) highlighting a rescue (you can do a different one each week!) along with some photos of the rescue's adoptable animals (dogs, cats, horses, bunnies--any species) along with a little info on the pet and the rescue's contact information. ***Then grab our badge below and link to our blog, add your post's link to the Linky list, and join in the hop to help homeless animals!***

While we here at FiveSibes randomly select rescues to highlight, if you are with a non-profit rescue of northern breed dogs (and mixes of both), and want to be sure I feature your rescue, please send me your info and some of your adoptables to highlight in an upcoming “Waiting Wednesday” post! Feel free to Email info and photos to FiveSibes(at)gmail(dot)com and put
“Waiting Wednesday Adoptable” in subject line!
