It's Leap Day! February is Pet Dental Health Month, BUT - Everyday is Dental Health Care!

While February is Pet Dental Health Month‬ and comes to a close today, every day should be pet dental health care! Today's Monday Meme is of Harley flashing her great Sibe smile!

Read my article "Flash Your Pet's Pearly Whites" starting on page 12 in Hudson Valley Paw Print Magazine for important info and vet tips so your pets can flash their healthy pearly whites!

And today is a special "extra" day - Leap Day!
Another full day of treats, love, and hugs! Woo! Here's our (now furangel) Gibson leaping in the snow a few winter's back!

    1. I think the toothbrushes will be staying! Our Sibes love the taste of mint toothpaste, but not so keen on the brushes, either!

  4. Happy Leap Day! We are trying to decide on the best way to get and keep the collies' toofers clean. (Abby was supposed to get her teeth cleaned when she was spayed, but because she is a collie she had a bad reaction to the anesthesia and the vet didn't think it was safe.). I've read some people are having good results with coconut oil and dog toothbrushes...

    1. I do give my Huskies coconut oil every day in their breakfast kibble - I toss the kibble with the oil so they can get the effects when they chew it. It's also good for digestion, plus many other great benefits. I also use a rubber finger brush and minty dog toothpaste. They seem to like that much better than a toothbrush, and they love the minty taste. There's also a great supplement that helps both gums and joints my vet recommend, TDC Periodontal & Joint Support. I rub it over their gums every night. Check with your vet. :-)
