Flashback Friday #21: A Bandit of Love
Bandit's sweet little face and beautiful puppy mask stole our hearts. She came home with us along with her littermates sister Chloe and brother Wolfie when they were just mere pups.
"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face." ~Ben Williams
Bandit is our BandaBear, our Miss B... and our "Crazy Girl." Bandit has always been our challenge Husky. Bandit flies rather than runs, and she is absolutely attached to and obsessed with our alpha queen, Harley. Her monicker fits her perfectly and I sometimes wonder if her name didn't just find her as she is truly a thief at heart! Named because her mask resembled that of a bandit's, she will steal every toy and pillow from the rest of the pack family and pile them under her. She will then guard them as if they were her own. Thankfully, the rest of the pack tends to ignore her challenging issue of possessiveness, and on occasion, surrogate momma Harley will have to remind her just who is the boss of the pack family!
She is now pretty much all deaf, but she is also real love bug who just wants to be hugged and given lots and lots of belly rubs...just so long as she can have all the toys and all the beds!

We would like to dedicated today's blog to "Rusty" of the DaWeenies of Florida. We were saddened to learn that Rusty has made his journey across the Rainbow Bridge. Run free, handsome boy. You and your family are in our thoughts.
So kind to dedicate your blog to Linda's beautiful dog, Rusty....rest in peace dear one!
ReplyDeleteOur Autumn is just like Bandit! She also gathers toys and then treats them like they're her babies and no one goes near them, or else! BOL
ReplyDeleteFrom Mom....I want to thank you so very much for this dedication to Rusty. His life began in horrid conditions until we rescued him and gave him the best life possible for the 9 years that he was with us. He has certainly left a big hole in my heart and I'll never forget him.
Hi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteBOL...what a sweetie...even if she did steal everyones toys!
Thanks for the update of Rusty.
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDg
what a beautiful girl!
ReplyDeleteRun and hide all the toys
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Very cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Bandit is like the White Dog Army's Puff. She, too, steals all of the toys and bones and lies on top of them. Not that our little former mill breeder is a nurturer. When the whim strikes her, she will take one of those precious toys gently in her paws and then RIP off its leg or head...or tear the squeaker right out of its chest. BOL!
