FBF: Game Day is Puppy Bowl Time!
Woo! It's that time of year ~ Game Day is Sunday
and that means Puppy Bowl and Rescue Bowl!
Today, we're celebrating the big weekend with a special #FlashbackFriday just for Game Day! FiveSibes from 2018, the Little Miss Suri book from 2024, and her Puppy Bowl X pics from 2014!
I still have my Team Suri T-shirt from Suri's Puppy Bowl X!
A Book for All Ages!
I so love this book...not only is it a heartfelt story, it's is about an adopted puppy and its mother, that is such an inspirational story! Added bonus: I'm the proud editor of the book. Plus, my dear, talented friend and artist—Barbara K. Slocum—did the illustrations. When we debuted The Story of Little Miss Suri~From Surprise Puppy to Puppy Star (which as 5-star reviews on Amazon! Woo!) we did a random drawing for one lucky reader to receive a complimentary copy of the book, and the lucky winner was Christina Shaw Wright, a fellow Siberian Husky hu-mom! She sent us these wonderful pics of her beautiful daughter Aubree reading the book to their beautiful "Finn!" How precious!
Is there anything more heartwarming than a child reading with their beloved dog?!

All the FiveSibes joined Chloe in taking a well-deserved nap after a game of indoor Husky football!
Do you and your beloved furry best friend watch the Puppy Bowl?
Did you watch Suri in the Puppy Bowl X?

They used to do a Kitten Bowl too. We don't know why they stopped it.
ReplyDeleteWell this year for the first time, a collie puppy will be on the Puppy Bowl. So we will be cheering on Foxtrot, but we will also cheer for pretty Ivy!
ReplyDeleteThat's adorable! What a great and innovative way to get pups adopted.
ReplyDeleteI did watch Suri! I love watching the Puppy Bowl every year. I used to have a cat that loved watching with me. Henry doesn't like watching TV so much. If he can't play with them, he's not interested. I did hear of the Kitten Bowl. I'm glad it's being folded into the Rescue Bowl. I've never watched the Rescue Bowl. I'm going to have to check it out tomorrow. Ivy is adorable! I'll watch for her. I saw a show on the behind the scenes of the Puppy Bowl I think last year. It was very interesting. I didn't realize that all the pups are adopted by the time the show airs. I hope that it inspires folks to adopt and not shop. I still don't get why people shop when there is every breed waiting for a furever family at a shelter or in a foster home. Thank you so much for this reminder and for telling me about the Rescue Bowl, Dorothy! I'm sharing with all my dog and pet parents.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you enjoy the bowls and games, it's always such a packed full day.
ReplyDeleteI have a confession I have never watched it as I do not have cable but would love to and I know I am missing really good fun, your pups would have been amazing to watch
ReplyDeleteSuri is so cute! What a great memory. I didn't watch the puppy bowl this year, we had some company. But it's always so much fun to see them playing on the "football field"
ReplyDeleteI remember friends on Twitter saying they were looking forward to the Kitten Bowl! We don't get the football excitement here (American Football that is!) but I am sat here smiling at your wonderful memories. Wasn''t Suri a cute pup!
