#FlashbackFriday: We Will #NeverForget ~ Tribute to 9/11 Hero Dogs

Flashback to September 11, 2001 as we remember when 19 years ago our country was attacked. This is in memory and tribute to all those who lost their lives, and to the brave heroes--including the working dogs--who worked so tirelessly on search and rescue.

We Will Never Forget.

Read the AKC article, "The Legacy of 9/11 Dogs 19 Years Later" HERE

"September 11, 2001. Terrorists fly two passenger jets into the World Trade Center. Within hours, both buildings collapse. Over 10,000 men and women, the greatest mobilization of emergency workers in the history of the United States, heed the call for help. 300 of these heroes are dogs." ~Dog Files Hero Dogs of 9/11

We will always remember the human & canine heroes of  9/11/2001

  4. It is so important to remember not only the events of 9/11, but also the impact that rescue dogs had in the hours, days and weeks that followed. It's crazy to think that it was honestly that long ago - it feels like yesterday!

  5. We'll never forget and that's a promise. Every plane that flies low over our condo brings bring memories. I believe the last of the search and rescue dogs from Ground Zero passed away. Sigh.
