Read Across America About Huskies, Epilepsy & Rescue With FiveSibesMom Books!
Oh, one book, two book, three book four
Husky books I so adore!
I love to read them on the floor
I love to read them by a door
Oh, Husky books, read me more!
Today is the National Education Association (NEA) Read Across America Day - also known as Dr. Seuss Day (as it's his birthday)! As a professional writer and author, naturally I L-O-V-E books! So, today, the FiveSibes and I are highlighting my four canine books in print that are available through our website, ArcticHouse Publishing (previously sold through Amazon). Please keep in mind, either way, I'm filling those orders personally, with some furry assistants, so you may find Husky fur in your packages! And here's a little extra something to woo about...a portion of all of my books is donated to Siberian Husky rescues or a Canine Epilepsy non-profit organization!
Up first...
My book, EPIc Dog Tales: Heartfelt Stories About Amazing Dogs Living & Loving Life With Canine Epilepsy. This book, as highlighted here with Gibson, the model cover dog, is a beautiful, 224-page coffee table style book filled with gorgeous color photos of Epi-dogs from across the world whose stories are told to me by their families who love them. I've also included an extensive resource library, facts, tips, experiences, information, and more for folks who now find themselves on the journey of Canine Epilepsy. You are not alone, and this book is a great place to start. I call it the Canine Epilepsy bible. A portion of proceeds from the book are donated to the Canine Epilepsy Resources Epil-K9 Foundation's "Emma's Seizure Fund" at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Karen Munana of NCSUCVM's Companion Animal Epilepsy Research Center has lent a glowing review of the book, see below!
Next up...
We're still talking Canine Epilepsy with my cutely illustrated first canine book, the FiveSibes™ Tale What's Wrong With Gibson? Learning About K-9 Epilepsy, as showcased by Gib here in the photo, is written for children to help them understand what is happening and not be afraid if a dog (or a friend) is having a seizure, and even a few easy tips to help, just in case! A portion of proceeds from the book are donated to the Canine Epilepsy Resources Epil-K9 Foundation's "Emma's Seizure Fund" at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. NOTE: CURRENTLY THIS BOOK IS OUT OF STOCK.
Next up...
My second FiveSibes™ Tale, Getting Healthy With Harley: Learning About Health & Fitness, as modeled by the star, Harley, is also written for children (but adults enjoy it, too!) to encourage them to eat healthier and exercise, just like the FiveSibes do! A portion of proceeds from the book is dogeared for Save Our Siberians Siberspace Rescue Fund.
And up next...
My Buddy, the Christmas Husky~A True Holiday Miracle book, pictured here with Chloe, is a true story for all seasons, with a photo section of the real life abandoned-rescued-and forever loved Husky everyone loves, Buddy! A portion of this book is donated to "Buddy's Buddies," a fund Mama Shay has set up to go toward Buddy's ongoing health care through the University of Georgia's (UGA) College of Veterinary Medicine, and when Buddy doesn't have any medical bills, she uses it to help other dogs in need at UGA. You can check out Buddy's Facebook page to see all the newest "roos!"
NOTE: CURRENTLY VERY LOW STOCK REMAINING.
So no matter what you love to read about, whether it is one of my books or another...gather up your furkids, human kids, family, and friends, and immerse yourself in a story between the pages of a book!
Happy Dr. Seuss Day! These look like great books to celebrate reading any time. I'm going to see about getting the EPIc Dog Tales for myself. :)
