Flashback Friday: When A Siberian Husky Joins the Family!

Flipping through older photographs for my Flashback Friday series is always fun, and sometimes bittersweet, especially when I come across the furbabies that are no longer here, but always in my heart. This photo made me chuckle. Our old gal, Chelsey, a German Shepherd/Akita mix we adopted as a puppy from our local SPCA, was our family dog for almost 13 years before we brought home our first Siberian Husky puppy, Harley. Harley was (still is at almost 11!) a ball of energy and everything was fair game for a little Husky body slamming! Chelsey's expression in this photo says it all! Lucky for her, we welcomed Gibson soon after this was taken so Harley had a pup to boss, shove, and love, leaving Chelsey to go back to bathing in the sunbeams shining through my daughter's bedroom window as a senior pup should be able to do!

“I guess sometimes the greatest memories are made in the most unlikely of places, further proof that spontaneity is more rewarding than a meticulously planned life.”
~J.A. Redmerski, The Edge of Always

Flashback Fridays are brought to you by us - the FiveSibes - and our co-host, Love is being owned by a Husky, each Friday.
