Frozen Berry Yogurt Bites on a Tasty Tuesday & FREE Downloadable Pet Food Labels!

Wolf likes what he sees...fresh organic strawberries!

Oh, it's such a wonderful time of year here for berries! Strawberries are ripened red and huge, as  you can see in this photo with Chloe! And the blueberries are oh-so plump and sweet! If your dog is anything like our FiveSibes, they love some berries mixed in with their food, or a sweet treat made with berries! Since it's almost summer, what's better than a cool fresh berry treat?

Are Berries Good for my Dog?
As with any new foods introduced to your dog, always consult your veterinarian first. Certain berries, in moderation, can be a healthy additive to your dog's diet. According to a University of Alaska study with sled dogs, "Blueberry supplementation did elicit significantly elevated antioxidant status in sled dogs post exercise. This suggests that dogs fed blueberries while exercising as compared to dogs fed a control diet while exercising, may be better protected against oxidative damage," states the report. (Read full report here on PubMed). And strawberries, while packed with vitamins and fiber, also contain an enzyme that can actually help to keep a dog's teeth clean! Both berries should only be given as a special treat though, and just a few!

Below is my simple, healthy, and delish (I even sampled them myself!) Frozen Berry Yogurt Bites Canine Cooking Corner recipe video! We hope your furkids will enjoy them as much as the FiveSibes did! And don't forget to let them have a little fun taste testing the berries and licking the spoon clean!
Bon(e) Appetit!

Speaking of something tasty...We all love our pets and want to give them the very best. They deserve it! Whether they are playing Fetch! with us, going for a ride in the car, they love and loyalty is so amazing. They  just want to spend time with us. And that feeling is so mutual! What's better than coming home from a long day at work to a happy pup who is so overjoyed to see us? Or just zipping out to the store for a short time, only to return to the best greeting in the world as if we had been gone for weeks! The love in their eyes, the eager wag of their tails, the joyful wiggle in their bodies as they show us how much they love us! We love to spoil them with cozy beds, fun toys, and fun activities, but they all love food! Treat time here is always an attention getter! And food is love. Whether we cook it from scratch ourselves or give them prepared food, we only want the very best for our furfriends. Keeping their food stored in a safe and handy place is so important. But if you're like us here, with five dogs and one cat, you may have many canisters or containers for their food or treats. Labeling them not only makes it easy to see what is in which container, but also helps to keep track of freshness by allowing us to mark the "bought" or "made" by date on the label. And why labeling, why not make it styilsh?

Thanks to FoodPackagingLabels.net, you can do just that! Based out of Canada, with a manufacturing plant here in the United States, they share a wonderful tip - creating pawesome pet food labels for the exterior of your canisters, making them functional and fabulous! How cute your canisters will look sporting one of these labels? Check it out for yourself with these cute free complimentary pet labels you can simply download and print on adhesive or regular paper for yourself HERE! And if you'd like to have custom labels, you can contact them directly via their website for design and paper choices! Just let them know you read here at FiveSibes!

  2. Our Dad is a big berry eater. He has strawberries and blueberries every day. We get to share them too. We both love blueberries, but Ciara isn't crazy about strawberries unless they are really sweet:)
