Purple Day for (K9) Epilepsy Episode of "The Sibe Vibe" Features Fellow Blogger Susan Sehi-Smith of the White Dog Diary

Check Out Pets Podcasts at Blog Talk Radio with Dog Works Radio Show on BlogTalkRadio

To close out March, we hope you'll listen to, and share, our very special Purple Day® for Canine Epilepsy Awareness featuring our fellow blogger, Susan Sehi-Smith, author of The White Dog Diary who is the founder and president of the Paws to People: Bridges to Cures organization "committed to furthering comparative studies research in catastrophic diseases (such as epilepsy and cancer) to save the lives of humans and pets." I will also have a more in-depth interview with Sue about Paws to People in a later post, so please check back.

I want to thank Sue for an amazing show that is just chock-full of important information. She is doing some amazing work, and hopefully, one day, through comparative studies research, cures for both our two-legged and four-legged loved ones will be discovered.

I'd like to dedicate this post to both Sue's Epi-Angel, Quinn, and my Epi-Husky, Gibson.

My K9 Epilepsy SpokesHusky, "Gibson"

“That is the wonder and excitement of comparative research to me…it is not about DOG disease…or PEOPLE disease…it is about ending diseases, period.”~Susan Sehi-Smith

  1. Hey Gibson! Glad to see you're still going strong! Jen was at the vet with Bubba cat this week and a family brought in their dog who was having seizures, and I thought of you.

  3. Thank you for a wonderful opportunity to share and discuss our work, our White Dog Army, and especially our epi-Angel the Mighty Quinn. The hour flew by and I felt you and I made some great points and raised awareness about the fact that epilepsy is a challenge, not a death sentence. To Gibbie and Quinn, may they both continue to guide us!

  4. Today, 2.3 Million Americans live with epilepsy with more than 1 million of them experiencing uncontrolled seizures. CBDs (Cannabidiol) which are non-psychoactive have been proven to help reduce the frequency of these seizures.

Gevitta is working hard creating a legal CBD spray that is derived from HEMP. We are starting with a crowdfunding campaign set to launch shortly in order to raise the money needed for production as well as further studies on the effectiveness of CBDs on other diseases.
