It's Toothy Tuesday!

Have you brushed your furkids' teeth today?

It's Dental Day here at the FiveSibes' homestead! We try to make it a relaxed, fun time for them while we brush their chompers. Fortunately, canine toothpaste (never human) comes in an assortment of delectable canine flavors including mint, peanut butter, chicken, and vanilla - all pleasing to the sometimes finicky Sibe palate. The FiveSibes love the mint-flavored toothpaste (they even love to sniff us hu-family members after we brush our teeth!) Our Huskies don't mind having their teeth brushed by a toothbrush or a finger brush as long as we don't daudle, and they don't require a lot of frequent brushing, but there are other options to home clean your canine's teeth including dental wipes and sponges. What is your favorite way of cleaning your pet's teeth?

  1. Finger brushing! Finn hates it. I wonder if it is because we use mint. Peanut butter flavor might be the way to go! Love those pics!

  2. Mom keeps trying to brush our teeth both with a brush and a finger brush, but we can't say we are too cooperative. We usually let her get one or two teeth done and that's it. She says she is determined to make it work:)

Happy Toofy Tuesday to all of you.

  4. Here we brush teeth daily and with ten dogs it takes some time. We use vanilla mint toothpaste and it's a race to see who can be first. Mom started by giving us treats if we were good, but now we don't need treats, getting our teeth brushed is the reward. We love it.

  6. hey FiveSibes,

I am furry impressed that you get your teeth brushed! I think I am the odd-dog out, I have never had my teeth brushed and I don't think my human ever will do that. She has never done it with any other dog and I don't think she wants to start. The Vet said my teeth look good, so I guess whatever I am eating is doing the trick!

Glad you pups handle it so well! Beautiful smiles with clean teeth rock! And you pups have both!
