Sibe Shadow Walking

Here's our boy Wolf keeping good company with his shadow!

Me and My Shadow

"...Like the wallpaper sticks to the wall
Like the seashore clings to the sea
Like you'll never get rid of your shadow
...you'll never get rid of me

Let all the others fight and fuss

Whatever happens, we've got us.

Me and my shadow

We're closer than pages that stick in a book
We're closer than ripples that play in a brook
Strolling down the avenue..."
~D. Dreyer, A. Jolson, B. Rose; Recorded by Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr. 1962

And to keep the shadowy fun going, here's a little "Winnie the Pooh" video featuring non other than Piglet and his shadow...and check out Eeyore...if our Gibson could talk, this would so be his voice!

Happy Shadow Shot Sunday!

  2. Wolf and shadow are simply adorable! And the song is a great choice for a shadow quote! I totally forgot about this song! A delightful, fun post!

  3. Always enjoy visiting your blog. Your dogs are so beautiful. Wolf was our dog's name. He was a German Shepard/Wolf mixed dog. One of the best dogs we ever had. He was an excellent watch dog, but gentle as a lamb with the kids. But would protect them in a heartbeat. I came home from work one day to find my daughter brushing his hair and putting her hair bows and scrungies on him. He sat there not moving until she was finished.
    Great shadow shot.
    Happy Sunday!!

  4. Now that the rains are finally gone, maybe we can have some shadow fun when we are out walking like Wolf. Cool video too.

    Have a great Sunday.
