Christmas Card Exchange Was So Much Fun!

Wow! We have had so much fun with participating in the Blogville Christmas Card Exchange! This was our first time joining and I have to say, getting all those great holiday cards made the season even brighter and I loved getting to know each of you a little bit better through your lovely photos, cards, notes, and Email greetings! 


Here is how our story goes...

Gibson was excited to see all the cards arrive!


Each card was so beautiful!


Harley loved seeing her furpals!

Chloe loved seeing all the cute designs! 


Harley was excited to start displaying them!


Bandit loved looking up at all the greetings!

We love our cards! Thank you, everyone! A giant round of a-paws and a million thanks to our Blogville's Christmas Card Exchange coordinators:  HoundDogMom, Finn, and  Schanauzer Days for pulling it all together and to Jazzi's World's Mom and her elves for compiling the great list of names! And what a list it was! The FiveSibes™ and I had so much fun. I enjoyed getting a mailbox full of cards and we all just loved looking at all the pretty greetings and beautiful furpals from around the world! 

As we see out one year and welcome in another, we would like to take this time to wish each and every one of you the happiest and healthiest of New Years! Happy 2012!

    Your card display is superb fur sure. I can't wait until NEXT Year's X-Change either. I have kept EVERY SINGLE ONE of My CARDS!!!

    I am with you all, it was great. I think My Vickie was a little jelouse because I got so many more than she did. Like a gazillion more.

    Thanks Frankie for the reminder! That was a lot of work she and her elves did! I added her in there for a great round of a-paws for all her hard work too! This was the best fun ever! I'm keeping all our cards in a scrapbook. :-)

#PrayersForHarley - Dewclaw Tumor

Dewclaws. Such an unnecessary evil for a dog. In August, I noticed Harley limping. At 11-and-a-half, she is a bit stiff-legged at times from arthritis, but this was a more pronounced limp and she was having an extra tough time sitting down. She seemed very uncomfortable. She was also becoming a bit snarley, especially when I was touching her paw, which is something that never typically bothers her. Upon further checking, I noticed an odd lump around her dewclaw on her right leg, thinking it was possibly a pulled dewclaw, maybe a splinter, thistle, or even a bee sting , she became extremely agitated when I touched it.    (Warning: some photos may be somewhat graphic, but I am sharing for educational purposes).   Oddity beneath the dew claw.   Off to the vet we went. The Rainbow Bridge Welcomes A New FurAngel - Buddy, the Christmas Husky - A Forever Symbol of Hope for Rescued Dogs

My beloved Gibson is there. As is my Chelsey, Sandy, kitty Smokie, bunny Sunny, my fox Ah, many horses, and so many others pets. We have many furfriends who have also crossed The Rainbow Bridge. All of these beloved animals are there...so healthy and happy, with all the dogs enjoying their zoomies and playing Fetch all day in a land that is eternally beautiful. Sounds perfect. Only catch is when our devoted companions are there, we can no longer physically be with them. So while they are in a place where the spirit soars, our hearts are broken as we are missing them here with us. Fit For Our #FiveSibes Alpha Queen: Celebrating Harley's 14½ Birthday

Born on March 10, 2005, our beautiful alpha queen, pupster surrogate momma, and my daughter's and our first Siberian Husky,  turns 14½ today! You may be wondering why are we celebrating her half birthday? Because, as heartbreaking as it is, we now know she will not be here in March to celebrate her 15th Birthday as I once had hoped. Heartfelt thanks to Ann at Zoolatry for this beautiful badge. Thank you all who are sharing it and joining paws for our girl.
