Shadow Shot Siberian Sunday
Lone White Wolf
by Jim Sauer
Lone white wolf
Limps through the woodland snow.
Limps through the woodland snow.
Behind his trail
The last lingering threads of twilight fade.
Across the frozen lake
The rising moon is a majestic mandarin dome.
In his ears
The silver velvet of the river...
In his eyes
And in his soul
The moon.
The moon.
Beautiful...I love the line "lingering threads of twilight"
ReplyDeleteMy shadow this week is of a horn cleat [what you use to tie up a boat at the dock]

Hope your weekend has treated you well.
Wow, that's beautiful...the pix and the poem! I can actually see that wolf and I bet the moon is a part of his soul. Very nice!! Thanks for sharing this with us.

Poem and photo go hand in hand.
ReplyDeleteTALKING SHADOWS?
Imagine a shadow could talk
In whisper or rumble or squawk;
Just what would it say
To make you go, “Hey!
You’re just a chip off the old block!”?
