Spring has arrived! Let's keep our Huskies happy and healthy...

Well, spring has officially sprung today, and it is most welcome! Well, at least by our Hu-family. Our FiveSibes, on the other hand, I think are still dreaming of a fluffy white backyard! With the arrival of spring with its longer days and warmer weather, there is much more time for Husky fun: later hours for play, car rides with the windows open, ice cream, and pool season is just around the corner, so they will be very happy Huskies even without the snow. Pictured here is my wooly boy, Gibson (way too cool in his shades), all set and ready to go for his walk in the sun...well, that is as soon as he gets his comfy self off the couch! Let's all remember that with the nice weather, also comes specific care issues for our with all pets. For us Hu-family members, that means no slacking off on the heartworm preventatives; keeping up with flea/tick/mosquito control; watching out for stagnant pools of water (that are so prominent this time of year) to prevent Giardia, and keeping a close eye out for poisonous plants along the roadsides and in backyards. And most of all, always keeping plenty of cool, fresh drinking water available to our fur babies. So, with that said, here's to a great spring season with lots of beautiful weather and happy, healthy Sibes!

  1. It is 72 degrees and sunny here in Pawsylvania right now BUT my furiends in OP KS have SNOW!

    That is just WRONG!

    (UN)Happy Spring!

    Khyra & Khousin Merdie

  2. Yes, Khyra is right, we have snow - c'mon over, one and all. Mom says she wants Spring back.

Nice reminders for all, especially the fresh water and heartworm preventatives.

Woos - Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

  3. Wooos! I was thinking about going fur a swim to cool down today, it was 80, but then I read some of my friends have snow! Lucky them!

  4. Happy Spring to you to and love the shades

  5. You look so cool! If you need a snow fix, come on over to our place!
    Play bows,

  6. Gibson, you look very cool in your shades! I got lots of snow! It snowed all day yesterday and night, so right now I am enjoying Spring!

  7. Gibson is adorable!

We eagerly take our Heartgard every month! And I had giardia once and trust me, Mom does not want to go through that again! It's hard to avoid standing water in Seattle, but she does her best.

  8. We've all had our heartworm tests and are ready to start of pills. I did especially well at my test. I screamed my little Sibe head off!! It's a great way to embarrass mom!!
