Newsy Tuesday
The Woos have news! |
To kick off this week, Wolf and Chloe have a few newsy items they would like to share!
First, we would like to talk about a great little book for a great big cause…Can I Have a Some of That? This is a delicious collection of recipes "for (and by) dogs, puppies, (and feline puppies too)," edited by Ray Braswell and Jack of Blogger’s Daily Dose of Jack. Jack and his “Tall One” have compiled a really cool book specifically for our furkids filled with pawsitively delicious recipes and treats! Even one of the FiveSibes’ favorite treat recipe – “Yogurt-Dipped Bones” is included! Please stop by his blog and check it out – and then scamper over to Amazon.com to order the Kindle book for yourself! And the best part – besides tickling the tummies of our canine companions? All proceeds go to the French Bulldog Rescue Network and Chase Away K9 Cancer.
I would also like to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation, along with lots of woos from the FiveSibes, to fellow bloggers Bailey
of Bailey Be Good for bestowing upon us the Inspiration! Award. And
also to Arwen and Nyxie of Arwen's Pack for the
Versatile Blogger Award! And in playing catch-up, also to Kelly of Peggy's Pet Place, who bestowed a Versatile Blogger Award on us a few months back. While we have these posted on our blog, we just wanted to take a few minutes to sincerely thank these wonderful furpals and their bloggers!

To accept the Versatile award, I need to talk about seven things about us and then have the difficult task of passing this on to 15 other versatile bloggers. Now that's going to be difficult! I'll never be able to pick just 15...but I'll try and I'll be contacting those 15 to "paw-it-forward!"
So here are seven things about the FiveSibes:
1)Harley, whose Hu-Mom is my daughter, is our first Siberian Husky. We brought her home when she was just six weeks old! She is THE alpha queen and knows it! She is way too smart...way too smart! She can outfox a human pretty easily! From day one, she became a surrogate mother to the three pups. And when she allows us mere mortals to touch her, she absolutely loves belly rubs! Oh, and although she thinks she can...she really can't sing at all. Oh, and she loves the human boys!
2) Gibson came into our household as a young four-month-old pup companion to keep up with Harley's playing. At the time, we had a 12-year-old Akita/GS we adopted from the SPCA as a pup who did not like the rough Husky play! Gibson fell in love with Harley from the moment he set his blue eyes on her and he has remained devoted to her ever since. He is gentle and as a keen understanding for the English language.
3) Gibson started having seizures shortly after his third birthday and has been on a meds regiment ever since. I do a combo of medical/holistic therapies with him to ensure the longest, healthiest life possible. He is my "old soul" of a pal. He is extremely intuitive and we have a very close bond.
4) Wolf, Chloe, and Bandit are littermates, we brought them home at 12 weeks old, and they still act like pups and stick very close to each other. When they do things, they still do them in tandem! They are a joy to watch and provide many hours of silly and fun entertainment to us hu-family members!
5) Gibson has befriend our two adopted stray cats, but the others just want to eat them both for snacks. Or at least chase them until the sun sets or the cats are caught.
6) Gibson is the pups' big brother from two litters up. While these four are from the same breeder, there is a long story behind them that I can basically sum it up by saying, they were very uninformed and inappropriate backyard breeders and we really feel we saved them. Hence, why we left with three pups at one time!
7) Wolf and Chloe are very chatty. They are big into sharing woos and news, and they have a lot to say. They can sometimes get a little frustrated when us humans don't keep up with their conversations!

Great sharing about all the pups. Dakota and Phantom are both from backyard breeders too, some of them are good, some not so good. We felt like the Mom and Dad here did some saving too:)
ReplyDeleteMom is still amazed that you managed three sibling pups from 12 weeks old.
Stay cool.
