Introducing Husky Coffee Company's GIBSON'S COFFEE for K9 Epilepsy Awareness Benefitting The Wally Foundation!

Inspired by my own Epi-dog (dog with epilepsy) "Gibson," I became an official Ambassador for Purple Day® for (K9) Epilepsy in 2012. Each year, on Purple Day (March 26th), I like to bring you something new to help dogs living with seizures. (My 11th Annual #LiveGibStrong Purple Day Blog Hop &. Media Share is happening on the 26th, too! be sure to read more about it HERE or at the end of this blog post.)

This year, I'm so very excited to announce "Gibson's Coffee" a limited edition coffee by Husky Coffee Company! And, for each bag of Gibson's Coffee purchased, Husky Coffee Company will DONATE $5 to The Wally Foundation-Canine Epilepsy!

And, for each subscription, they will DONATE $15 to The Wally Foundation!

I am so thrilled and honored to have my beautiful boy, Gibson, on a coffee brought to you by the Husky Coffee Company, whose founder excitedly jumped right in to join our #LiveGibStrong K-9 Epilepsy awareness by creating this coffee fundraiser in Gibson's name and we are so appreciative!

Please Note: Since this is a fundraiser, our usual FiveSibes discount is not available for this purchase.

I became an affiliate for the Husky Coffee Company several years ago first because as a customer, I love their coffee. And secondly, because I love how they donate 20% of their profits to 14 different rescues with the sales of the regular products. And...I love their coffee! And, I know other folks love their coffee and dog treats, too! This is such a caring company who continuously pays things forward.

Gibson's Coffee is a separate and limited edition. In honor of Purple Day, it will be around for a few months, and we hope it raises a nice donation for The Wally Foundation to help other Epi-dog families in need. 💜

Now, yes, it is higher priced coffee, but it is a high-quality coffee and worth every ground as it is a fundraiser for a great cause. So, if you can share this with everyone you know, or buy a bag to share with a friend, gift a friend or rescue worker, or for yourself, you'll know your purchase is helping an Epi-dog family in need!

Gibson's Coffee comes in a vacuum-sealed large bag! I am the first to buy a bag for The Wally Foundation! And it is sooooo good! Below, pictured in front of my Gibson's poster, is my bag to show you the size of the one-pound bag—on the left is my iPad to give you an idea of the size...

If you are not familiar with The Wally Foundation, the are a nonprofit based out of Delaware and their mission is "To provide financial assistance* to the owners of canine epileptics and dog rescue groups to obtain medications and veterinary services." According to The Wally Foundation's founder, Rick Selwood, "Epilepsy does not define a dog. It is merely a part of that dog. Our mission is to support, educate, and assist whenever possible those requesting help." You can read my previous blog on The Wally Foundation HERE.

Rick's own Saint Bernard, "Wally," was an Epi-dog and namesake for his non-profit organization. He adds, "Our belief is that no human should have to choose between food on the table, and affording medication or treatments for their epileptic dog. We also believe that no family should have to euthanize their beloved dog due to a lack of understanding of the disease, or a lack of resources. We will also provide support and information on canine epilepsy, a database of specialists and treatment centers, and how and where to obtain the lowest possible priced medications."

You can follow and/or message The Wally Foundation on their Facebook page for an application and/or information HERE.

 Their Mission:

"Over 3 million dogs and over 3 million cats enter shelters nationwide each year. Since 2021, adoptions are declining, while shelter intakes are rising. That's a lot of dogs and cats needing a home, and a lot of rescues needing support."

"Founder, Oliver Carson, was a humane society volunteer when he was younger, and started Great Dane Coffee Company in honor of his dane, Fetty. Seeing the impact, he expanded into 30 breed-specific brands that give 20% of profits of the sale of coffee, tea, dog treats, apparel, and gifts to more than 300 rescues nationwide.

Together, we donate tens of thousands of dollars (and lots of dog treats) to rescues each year."
