FiveSibes #Flashback ~ December 2014 ~ "Gibson"   I t may be the first day of spring, but we're still having snow! Which brings me to remembering my FiveSibes and how much they loved snow!  Oh, how bittersweet. Sweet for all the beautiful moments they were, yet bitter when those we love are no longer here to make more memories.    I had snapped of my beautiful boy, Gibson, enjoying the snow as he always did in our yard. With his wooly fur, this boy was never cold! Oh, how he loved to zoomie around with my other FiveSibes, but then he'd plop down in a bed of soft white snow and enjoy simply watching his furfamily of Harley and the pupsters--his little bro Wolfie, and sisters Chloe and Bandit--as they ran around him, kicking up snow. Gibson was an old soul. He was watchful, caring, loving, and wise.    I just love this photograph of him so happy in his element. It's the first time I'm sharing it, too.  FiveSibes #Flashback ~ "Bandit" - Winter 2015       "When life grows cold a dog will warm your soul."  ~Angie Weiland-Crosby    B rrrrr....the weather for this weekend here in this area is a major snowstorm weahter forecasters are predicting will affect "200 million Americans" and will affects many states from Colorado to Oklahoma to Massachusetts, with some areas getting up to two feet of snow! Our area is supposedly  12" - 15" range. The temps here have been in the negatives and single digits, so Old Man Winter is right in his prime! Which brings me to this week's #FlashbackFriday pic of our girl Bandit, who after a similarly freezing cold and snowy winter, along with all of our FiveSibes, decided to go dip her nose in the frozen tundra while out for a quick run in the yard.   FiveSibes Flashback ~ Wolfie ~ February 2022   "You are no longer where you were, but you are everywhere that I am." ~Victor Hugo   Oh, how I loved walks with my Huskies. Even more so when they were snowy walks. Pictured here, is Wolfie, and oh, he just loved the snow, as did all of my FiveSibes. Snow walks were the absolute best! Now, whenever it snows, I always think of my beloved FiveSibes having snow zoomies across our backyard, or going for pack walks in the fluffy white snow. Then there were the precious walks with Wolfie and Bandit after we moved and we were able to have mini-adventures exploring the new land all around us. Then one day, it was just me and my baby boy, and the great snowy north country strolls that helped to soothe both of our grieving souls.   Flashback Photo ~ Bandit ~ Winter 2017     "Find ecstasy in life; the mere sense of living is joy enough."    ~Emily Dickinson     We just had our first accumulation of snow and it made me think of how much my FiveSibes loved snow zoomies! Now they all loved to run through it, naturally, but Bandit really loved it. The deeper the snow, the bigger her smile! She was a power house of a dog and lightning fast. When it snowed, it was always a joy to see my FiveSibes in their element, and in this Flashback photo and the video where I slowed it down to show her powerfully strong strides, Bandit's pure joy shines through. I still cannot believe she is not here. She was so strong and healthy...until the beast named hemangiosarcoma took her down.   I love to think of her having her wild snow zoomies with that beautiful smile on her face along with Harley, Gibson, and Chloe north of the Rainbow Bridge, a place reserved just for our happy snow dogs, like ...

  Woo...Wolfie here! I'm liking the start of the howliday decor...especially these lighted pines out on the front porch. I love lying out here with Hu-Mom (she sits in the chair) and watching my neighbors pass by. Some may say it is too soon to decorate, I say, we all deserve a bright and happy season after the year we've had! So enjoy! Oh, and Mother Nature, a few snowflakes are right up my Husky alley, too! Thanks!
