#FiveSibes Do The Monster Mash on #FlashbackFriday!

FiveSibes Flashback ~ Halloween 2010   BooOooooWooooOooooo! It's that spooktacularly fun time of year - Howl-o-ween! I'm sure most of you have bought a fun JibJab video at some time or another, aren't they a blast?! Plus, the song "Monster Mash" is always a hoot! This video my daughter did for me and it features our FiveSibes (pictured l-r): Wolfgang (as the Werewolf, of course!), Bandit as the Vampiress, Chloe as the Mad Scientist, Gibson as the (lovable) FrankenMonster, and Harley as none other than the Monster Queen! Oh, how these flashbacks bring a smile to my face! There was always some type of wild and crazy Sibe shenanigans going on, and I loved every minute of it! So grab some Halloween treats for you and your furry loves, kick back, turn up the volume, and have a frightfully fun time watching this fun video! (My grandson has watched it several times and giggled each time, especially when the Were"Wolfie" grumbles)!     "It's all just

Remembering Bandit on Her First Rainbow Bridge Anniversary

Image
It's hard to believe our beloved,  beautiful crazy, nutty, kissing Bandit ("Bee") has been gone a year now. Our strong alpha-wannabe (not under Harley's rule!) and the bossy sibling of the Pupsters (Bandit, Chloe, and Wolf), is no longer here, and now it's just been Wolfie, the lone Husky of my #FiveSibes pack.   Bee was a character. If there was Siberian Husky mischief to be had, Bee would be the one leading the charge! Small prey beware! She was also silly. Things Bandit did just made me either smile or call out, "BanDIT!"   If there were toys out for all five of the Huskies, somehow Bandit wound up with all of them under her. I always commented how her name fit her to a "B!"   When the zoomies came on, she would--in true Husky fashion--channel her ancestors and run like the wind! Underneath her crazy, silly, beautiful exterior was a sweet, sweet dog. There wasn't a human she met that she didn't kiss! A true "kissing Bandit!&qu

#FlashbackFriday: Why a Purple Pumpkin?

Image
#Flashback Photos ~ 2014 ~ Why is Gibson's Pumpkin Purple?     This is a special #FlashbackFriday with Halloween right around the corner and folks busy going pumpkin picking and carving...don't forget to do one up in purple!   Why IS Gibson's Pumpkin Purple?    For K-9 Epilepsy Awareness "Hmm...what's in my pumpkin?" ~ Gibson   Each year, Gibson’s pumpkin was purple because he was an Epi-dog ~ a dog with Canine Epilepsy. And his form of epilepsy was called idiopathic, meaning they could never determine a specific cause for the onset of his seizures. And, purple is the color of epilepsy awareness. Gibson was living proof that Epi-dogs CAN ~ and DO ~ live full, happy lives! For more info on Canine Epilepsy, please visit our  #FiveSibes #LiveGibStrong K9 Epilepsy Awareness Online Library page!   According to Epilepsy.com (home of Epilepsy Foundation® and Epilepsy Therapy Project), the Purple Pumpkin Project is the brainchild of founder Ron Lamontagne, whos

Hide-n-Go Leaf Peeping on a #FlashbackFriday!

FiveSibes #Flashback Photo ~ Bandit ~ Autumn 2015   Ah, our sweet, silly, crazy girl, Bandit, a/k/a "Bee." She could always make us laugh, or go "Oh, Bee!" She loved to do all those crazy Siberian Husky things you read about, or have witnessed first-hand as a Husky parent or caregiver! On this particular day, it was late Autumn and we had huge maple trees in our backyard that were gorgeous and full of color! A perfect backdrop for so many of my photos. The downside to maples is all the leave they drop! Well, I didn't mind them! And the FiveSibes loved to run through them and the louder the crunch, the faster they would run and play! Here, Bandit dove head first into a leaf pile and basically was peeping out at me, playing Peek-A-Boo-Sibe! I have many others of her playing ~and hiding ~ in the leaves, but this one seems to be the perfect one for bringing back the great memories I have of her and her playfulness (craziness)! With having just Wolfie now, things a

Woo! The Weekend is in Sight!

Image
Who else is excited for the weekend? I write this as I sit outside trying to enjoy what would be an exceptional summer-like Autumn day (formerly known as "Indian Summer" or, if you prefer Shakespeare's expression, "All Halloween Summer") with it being mid-October and the temps are once again warm in the 70s ...sounds wonderful, right? The only problem is the bees have gone crazy! They are buzzing in our faces, erratically flying high and low and right into our faces!!! They know the cold snap is coming. My Wolfie does not like the resurgence of heat at all. Not the heat nor the dive-bombing bees. He rather come out when it is cooler, otherwise, he prefers being inside chilling on his bed in the a/c! And not to rush the season, but I'm with Wolfie. I will welcome the dip in temperature, but not too much yet. Just enough so these darn bees can give it a rest! Either way, we are almost to the weekend! And the forecast says a bit of rain on Saturday, followed
