For those who may be new to this annual event or to this site, I began my own personal journey living and caring for a dog with epilepsy (Epi-dog), my beloved Gibson, back in 2009 shortly after his third birthday. After a series of grand mal and cluster seizures that had me rushing Gibson to an ER after hours (because these things always seem to happen late at night). Thankfully, he survived the ER visit and after much testing, he was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy (or no known cause). As Purple Day® for Epilepsy Ambassadors since 2012, each year, we here at #FiveSibes in honor of my now Epi-angel Gibson, host a Purple Day® for Epilepsy Blog Hop & Social Media Share in hopes of reaching others to let them know Epi-dogs, with some special care, treatment (traditional, holistic, and dietary), along with lots of love, can--and DO --live happy lives just like other dogs who do not have Epilepsy.     In 20 days, we'll be hosting our 9th Purple Day Blog Hop and you're invited to join in!     How to participate?
